You're in for some major backlash if after denuvo is removed those long load times suddenly become a lot shorter, or if the performance noticably improves, especially after that insulting PR spin for why you had denuvo.
Now I am not playing either.
Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you do that.
Utter stupidity.
For me DRM only means that while i'm paying i'm getting a worse experience than those who pirated, Inject software on our systems to bog down our experience with software to protect your product isn't ok. I agree with defending your copyright, protecting your product, but not with malware. You are already using steam as a DRM, steam is an accepted DRM because it provides much more than Digital Rights Management to devs, they provide players chat, voice chat, an online storefront, streaming, cosmetic stuff, achivement stuff. Denuvo and other intrusive software for DRM only serves to punnish those who pay for the product because as you can see now less than a week later... pirates are playing a version without denuvo nor steam.
I don't pretend to have the solution for protecting your product, but malware isn't the correct one for sure. Do something like sirious sam 3 did (a permanent boss that didn't die for the pirated version players) or game dev tycoon (that caused the game progress to halt due to piracy of the games created while playing), those were funny and memorable examples of punishment to pirates rather than for paying customers...and then games like Witcher 3... for this one they didn't even need DRM or tricks they just did a great game that was saluted with good reception and sales .
and no, i don't endorse piracy, look at my profile, i paid for my games, but i paid to get to have a good experience while playing, to see pirates having a better experience and sometimes even having to resort to use that version to be able to have a good experience at all is just insulting.
Now good to see that your removed the malrware, now just correct the remaining issues with the game and you redeemed yourselves.
Peace, blocking this discussion and won't be reading your replies. Just know you're really sad for ganging up on a dev who yes, shouldn't have included Denuvo in the first place, but had the heart to take it out. :^)
Please, don't do this again. In the future games, put the money on QA instead.
#CDProjektREDAreTheRealMVP's!
BRAVO!!

The game still has DRM. Denuvo was never DRM and the Steam DRM still exists even after Denuvo is removed. So that's why they don't release games on GOG.
GOG is DRM too, by the way. 30 days after you purchase your game, the license terms change. DRM-free software doesn't do that.
Oh god, this again. Yeah Denuvo isn't DRM, right right....
GOG being DRM is the same that saying that the disc where your game comes is a DRM too, since when the disc become's unreadable you can't play the game. I'll try explain in a simple way:
1) When you buy a game on Steam, the game is bound to your account. If you want play this game in another PC, you'll need first login in the Steam App with you Steam Account. This is DRM.
2) When you buy on GOG, you can download a installer, put it on your pendrive, and install on another PC without even acessing the internet. You don't need to prove to someone that the product that you purchased is truly yours.
Got it?
Lookie here. Denuvo IS DRM. I mean, doesn't "DRM" stand for "Digital Rights Management" or am I remembering wrongly? And that's what Denuvo's doing, limiting the buyers digital rights to the software - managing it in other words...just a lil play on words through, Denuvo is identified as DRM by Steam, Bamco, Bethesda and others, so if you wanna say it wasn't such, articulate yourself in a way that clearly shows those arguments.
