NORTHBROOK, IL — Saying the ongoing events in Ukraine have been "heart-wrenching to watch," Illinois State Representative Jonathan Carroll (D-Northbrook) is helping relief efforts by collecting donations through April 11 at his Northbrook office.

"We're hearing reports of maternity hospitals and animal shelters getting shelled, orphanages being evacuated, and children being separated from their families," Carroll said.

Carroll represents Illinois' 57th district, including all or parts of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Glenview, Mount Prospect, Northbrook, Palatine, Prospect Heights and Wheeling.
