Frankly I don’t see why my hubby hesitates.
The pair would be such a good addition in our 180 sqm/2000 sqf apartment on the 28th floor!!Vintage stores are our happy place… well sometimes one of us is more happy than the other.
By the way I actually met the artist, Liu Ruowang, and visited his atelier. Those (the real ones… not sure about how genuine those are) are from his series The People 2005-2006. He’s most known for the Wolves, the Original Sin (the “apes”) and the East is Red series.

12-May-2022: D-38 before departure
The dilemma of bringing back souvenirs from our time abroad.
The little souvenirs from trips can really add up when you usually travel as much as we do. Our solution: the fridge magnets, it’s small enough that it doesn’t take much space and it’s a great conversation starter in the kitchen. We also only collect from places we’ve been not from friends and family’s trip (sorry 😉), our fridge is already not big enough for our collection. 😂
But then there are the souvenirs from the places we’ve called home for an extensive period of time. We usually bring back one piece (or 2) from each countries which make our summer house an eclectic mix of style. Vintage school desk and vintage scale from Argentina, old golf clubs and way too many Tartan wool throws from Scotland, a few cabinets from China and too many little pieces (China was heaven), old school sleight and skis from Norway and the Movie theater chairs from Singapore. Each piece brings me back to a time and place we truly love.
