I remember one from a few years ago where they said climate change was causing more meteors, because it was causing the atmosphere to expand and thus catch more space debris than it was previously.

Everything bad that happens is due to a changing climate. The evidence is irrefutable; the climate has always changed and bad things have always happened. If only we could force the climate to be absolutely constant then the world would enjoy complete peace and harmony.

Tijuana Mexico, has pretty much the ideal climate for most human beans, a mediterranean vibe with mild winters, a warm spring, hot/warm summers and warm late autumns.

I saw on my local news (channel 45 in Baltimore) where a man’s BMW caught fire (he also said he heard “popping noises” coming from his attached garage) and destroyed the garage and badly damaged the house. Now the news didn’t say what model BMW, but the owner mentioning “popping noises” and that he tried to move the car out of the garage but didn’t have time makes me wonder if it wasn’t an EV….

This kind of temperature vs crime would be fairly easy to research. It does have a grain of truth, i.e. people being outdoors and outside of their homes more and therefore more opportunity for interactions and also crimes. But this would mean that, in general, equatorial countries would be the most crime-infested, while countries further to the north and south of the globe would be safer. Here in the US some of the most crime-ridden cities are in the northern part of the US (NY and Chicago to name two biggies) but also there are some in the south as well. There is more crime in urban areas period as of course more people and more opportunity for interaction.
And yes, as pointed out, much has to do with the justice and legal systems of those affected areas, regardless of the time of year or the temperature. Baltimore sees shootings pretty much every day, and at least one person (and usually more) is killed every week. Winter, spring, fall and summer….
The jails could have A/C to keep the cells uncomfortably chilly and the bad folks wouldn’t want to come back. Headline: Cool temperatures reduce crime.

This isn’t a new problem. The FBI has known about, and documented in their annual Uniform Crime Report, the correlation between Summer heatwaves and firearm homicides, for decades. They implicitly attribute the problem more to the Urban Heat Island effect, because when living quarters in metropolitan areas have inadequate A/C, or are lacking it entirely, people tend to congregate outside and drink beer to help cool down. It is the greater social interaction of people consuming alcohol that exacerbates the problem of violence. A 0.5 deg C average global temperature change over the last 50 years is nothing compared to the 50 deg C seasonal change that changes how and where they live and interact. It is a stretch to blame the ‘excess’ deaths on global warming unless they can incontrovertibly establish that heat waves are increasing in intensity or severity. I can see a gathering of the AMA think tank in a room. The subject: “How can we tap into some of this Climate Change money”?
Are the highest violent crime rates along the Equator? (Whether using guns, manchettes or fist?)
Remove the weapon used and look at the violent assaults only.
Recalculate.
Then add in Soros DA letting violent criminals back out on the street.
Recalculate.
Then add in places where “Honor Killings” are allowed or even condoned AND occurred.

I doubt if ambient temperature has much to do with violence. It has a lot to do with people no matter the ambient temperature.

“Gun violence” is as real as automobile violence. There ain’t any such things. It’s the killer behind the trigger who commits violence, not the tool used.
Law abiding citizens use guns an estimated 1 million times a year to stop or prevent crimes. Is climate change behind that?
If your only source of information is the main stream media, you can be forgiven for thinking that crime is going up. The firearm-murder rate (FBI UCR) peaked in 1993, and the linear trend line for 1960-2021 is slightly negative, albeit probably statistically insignificant. More to the point, the 2021 firearm-murder rate was about the same as in 1998 and 1967, albeit, with some higher rates in the ’70s through early-’90s.
One of the most enduring correlations between firearm-murder rates is with the percentage of 15-24 year-old males. However, that association is broken by things like the crack-cocaine epidemic, when the rate stops tracking the youthful males and rises.

The American medical community is a disgrace. Nothing brought that into focus as well as the so called covid pandemic. Medical/hospital bureaucrats and administrators marched lock step with programs designed in Washington DC, UN, Brussels and Beijing for god sake. Ninety percent of doctors obediently went along defying common sense and knowledge. A very small percent used intelligence, common sense and a whale of a lot of courage and said hold on a minute there are other things we should try. What did they get for their trouble threats, condemnation, ridicule and generally treated like crap. In the past I had almost total trust in the medical community, not anymore, they are a true disappointment, they have no one to blame but themselves.
