A video of US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) asking bank executives of their policies regarding lending to fossil fuel projects is circulating the internet. The responses Tlaib gets show the true intentions of lenders concerning transitioning away from fossil fueks.
On today’s episode of Climate Change Roundtable, the team tackles the Tlaib video, discusses recent news regarding hurricanes, and covers other topical news the media distorts regarding climate change.
WATCH LIVE AT NOON HERE:
We should given up on fossil fueks long time ago. Personally I think fueks are just useless, especially the fossil ones..
I agree, miserable bloody fueks.
Thanks, Warner. That made me laugh.
Regards,
Bob

Net Zero or Pakistan, those are your options for unloading your wallet and taking on more debt.

Pakistan Leads Push for Funding to Counter Damage From Climate Change
The country’s destructive floods will underpin efforts at the U.N., and at climate talks this year, to progress on an international fund for losses from extreme weather
Is there anyone in government or the UN that isn’t an idiot, ready for plucking by scammers?
So Pakistan never suffered a flood before in its history until the invention of the steam engine?
If they were any good, they could have gotten a real job.
Unqualified, monotonic change: one step forward, two steps backward. Forward! to the past.
Nearly all the flooding occurred on the FLOOD PLAIN.
Who woulda guessed ! 😉
Hmmm.. If it looks like a grift, and smells like a grift, It’s almost certainly a grift!!
The following link I posted in a different page, but more suitable to this article as it looks like the climate witch trails are picking up steam:

It’s maddening that he doesn’t have the lugnuts to say plainly that a few degrees of warming over a century are not a threat to anyone, and even if there was a downside the continued development and use of fossil fuels would produce benefits that would dramatically outweigh and negatives – no where more dramatically than in developing countries.
Yes, they have the resources, we have the technology, let’s get together and make an economy that will rationally serve our mutual interests, people, and environment.
Reject Net-Zero and the Green blight. Embrace net-zero effect with greening benefits.
Thanks guys and gal!
Talib:
” … limit to 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit, or 1.5 degrees celisus …”
1) Write it off as a slip of the tongue, but I really don’t think she really knows the difference between Celsius, and celisus.
2) 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit is way different than 1.5 degrees Celsius. Does that mean that we have a choice between which one we pick?
F = 9C/5 +32 for absolute conversion between the two scales.
F = 9C/5 for conversions of temperature changes
Or perhaps you were being sarcastic.
It’s clearly humor, laughing at her poorly worded statement.
1) possibly…
2) no it isn’t, because we are talking about a change in temp eg Minus 40 deg F = minus 40 deg C. Minus 42.7 deg F = minus 41.5 deg C.
A change of 1.5C is the same as a change of 2.7 F.
1.5C is 34.7F
2.7F is approx -16.2777778C or -16 and five eighteenth C precisely.
Wish we had a better choice of idiots in Congress, DonM. We could really use a better class of idiots than the likes of Talib and AOC. They give idiots a bad name.
To quote Mo Howard, “When they think, they weaken the nation.”
When Talib says ‘we have committed to netzero by 2050’, which We is she talking about?
Her need to be committed?
‘Net’ can mean whatever you want it to mean. It’s like ‘pre-industrial levels’ (plural).
It is abject stupidity to eliminate an energy source or transport without an equal or better replacement. After all, civilization requires energy.
But, you all worthless eaters are barbarians, uncivilized trash and blights on the planet. You should just quietly disappear and bother the civilized no more. The woke will have plenty for themselves. (But leave all your valuables before you go, and send any further wealth you acquire before you pass.)
What’s worse, is that we have the knowledge, skill, and resources to optimize their use for the benefit of people, industry, and environment. And carbon-based resources are the best in cost and performance in diverse energy, material, production, and agricultural applications. Ideally, we would allow natural selection, with anthropogenic oversight, to guide our hand to select best in class.
You are missing the point – Talib is a communist. She WANTS us to fail.
Never drop your sails until you’ve started the engine.
Hah! Climate change, indeed. That said, go green, emit.
Your statement is patently true, which is ironic to the LEFT.
If you think Talib et al actually care about the environment, read Schlumberger’s Sanfransicko. The movement to help the homeless and addicts doesn’t care truly about the homeless and addicts UNLESS they are helped within the ideological framework of Woke (to shortcut the ideology).
It is also true that the antiCO2 movement is just a weapon in the anticapitalist, antinational , anticonsumptionist/consumerist movement. The rich elites rightly recognize the global population can’t have the lifestyle and food of the rich elites. There aren’t enough resources at a cheap enough cost.
The elite believe there are those qualified to rule and the rest, qualified to be ruled. No governing elite in human history lives a lifestyle of the commoner. They believe they “suffer” in their wise governing, time and stress and loss of “free” time, and should be compensated for it. But there isn’t enough to go around for everybody. So consumption has to be killed overall.
CO2 is just a start and why Chinese, Indian and African fossil fuel use isn’t discussed: that isn’t the point. Just a start. Get energy costs up, aircon and travel and private transportation and large houses become too expensive …. except for the elite, who, like Al Gore, buy credits for planting trees in Brazil.
California will be dependent on coal, oil and natural gas from the adjacent States when they get rid of their own fossil fuel power plants.
What would stop this bs would be those nonCalifornian supply points advising California that in 2030 they will be reducing by 20% that cross-State power transfer as they go more Green, with zero transfer in 2050. And start in 2023 with a 2% cut.
Browouts and blackouts teach things rhetoric doesn’t.
I suspect that very scenario may be played out in Europe this winter unless it is an unusually warm one. Italy in particular may get the short end of the stick.
You’re assuming the ability to learn, which does not exist in the close-minded progressive fascist. All their opinions – including who to blame for ANY misfortune – are already predetermined.
I think that might violate the Commerce Clause of the Constitution. CA would certainly challenge such action based on that.
The fact that such an openly racist bigot like Rashida Tlaib is even allowed to hold a seat in congress tells you all you need to know.
