This has been my Tuesday’s view for the last 3 years in Singapore and hopefully for another year.

Next year around this time it will be replaced by some other type of trees.

Appreciate the view while you have it.

Also the other trees will be as cherished.

I wrote this on a photo a few months ago and I’m going to reuse it because each week as I arrive at Ola Beach in Sentosa for my outrigger canoe session it draws on me that palms true are not going to be part of my weekly walk in less than a month.

So here it is:

Does living somewhere automatically disqualify it as paradise?

Well, I wouldn’t call currently living in Singapore as 100% paradise per se, given the many restrictions [lifted since —Ed.] BUT people pay a lot of money to be able to go to places and take this kind of picture of their vacation spot to impress other people. For me, it has been for a while #MyTuesdayView.

So if as Sartre said “L’enfer c’est les autres” (Hell is other people)… is paradise always somewhere else?

~~~Just a little FYI So for my last 200 days in Singapore I have decided to reblog, in no special order, a post from the 6 years I will have spent on the Little Red Dot. PS: you will then get 2 posts a day!!~~~
