With three locations in Dallas, Texas, and one in Santa Monica, California, the La La Land Kind Cafe aims to normalize kindness and hire foster youth. According to the company’s website, it is set out to bring the idea of La La Land to life, representing a dream world.

In 2017, the founders created the We Are One project to help foster youth left on the street at the age of 18. The project provided help with housing, therapy, mentorship, and job placement. However, businesses were not hiring or maintaining this youth, which led La La Land cafe founders to create an 8-week internship program for foster youth in “kind cafes.”

To normalize kindness, La La Land Cafe has a team that cares about its guests daily while visiting the community and complimenting individuals. The business model of the cafe is to care about the community, give back to society, and serve high-quality products while making a profit.
