CLIMATE SCEPTIC WINS COUNCIL SEAT

Been rather busy lately standing in the New Forest District Council elections. Thankfully I was re-elected though quite a few of my Conservative colleagues were not. Clearly  there was a national  trend of anti Conservative feeling. For the first time three Green party councillors were elected. All the constant climate propaganda is playing right into their hands. It will be interesting to see whether they are willing to play a full sensible part in running the Council, or be a one track distraction.

When I was Council Chairman in 2021 I was reported prominently in the local press for my sceptical views on climate change, see the link at the end of this post.

It seems that the public are willing to support candidates who set out sensible views which are in tune with the views of many of them.

Here is a link to the article which appeared in the print edition of the paper:

Senior NFDC Tories at odds over climate change urgency (advertiserandtimes.co.uk)

This post has been updated to give a good link. Thank you Dave for pointing out the deficiencies in the old link.

  1. I think that the author of the that unsigned post is probably one Derek Tipp, who is apparently in southern England.

It also appears that the non-working URL should have been:

    1. (My "hey, that worked" comment is in reply to my 2nd comment, which I now see has become invisible, perhaps because it is "in moderation.")

    1. No, my 2nd comment is invisible. You can see it because you're logged in with your blobspot account, and you own the blog. Nobody else can see it.

You can test fact by opening your blog post in "incognito" or "private" mode, or by viewing it from another browser, one in which you're not logged into blogspot.

Your blog settings are probably configured to automatically "moderate" (hide) any comments which contain links. Unfortunately, that's probably the default, because of the spammers' bots, which spam garbage comments to blogs, typically using comments which contain links.
