St. Rep. Lance Yednock of Ottawa is hosting an event called Illinois Valley Connect. It’s an opportunity for residents and businesses to meet with state and local agencies and learn more about taking advantage of services and programs through raffles, music, and other exhibitions. It will be on Wednesday, September 28th from 10am to 2pm at Lehigh Memorial Park in Oglesby.
State agencies at the event will include the Illinois Department of Public Health. They will have their Wellness on Wheels mobile unit. The IDNR will talk about the Choose Copi program. The Illinois Attorney General’s Office will talk about scam awareness. Illinois Comptroller’s Office and Illinois Arts Council will also be there. Local agencies will include Illinois Valley Community College, Habitat for Humanity, LaSalle County Court Appointed Special Advocates, Horizon House, and the Illinois Food Pantry.
