EKU Women's Golf Heads to Peach State for GSU Spring Invitational

Colonels to compete in 54-hole tournament across two days

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team is headed south for the Georgia State Spring Invitational held at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Georgia beginning on Monday.

The Colonels will take part in the 54-hole, two-day tournament against a 15-team field made up by, Appalachian State, Bradley, Bryant, Eastern Michigan, EKU, Georgia State, Lehigh, Little Rock, Memphis, Murray State, Queens, Seton Hall, Troy, Dayton, and Utah Tech.
 
Rivermont will play as a par-72, 6,095-yard course on the first day and then 5,940 yards on the second day of the tournament.
 
Competing for the Colonels will by Rylea Marcum, Elizabeth Tucci, Mattie Jo Neeley, Dili Sitanonth, and Elisa Orduna Shackleton.
 
Marcum leads the team into the tournament after a top-10 finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational where she finished tied for seventh at two-under par, shooting 214 for the tournament.
 
Tucci enters the tournament with the second lowest average strokes per round on the season with a mark of 76.37.
