U.S. President Donald Trump on January 30 confirmed there were "no survivors" after a military helicopter carrying three people and a passenger plane with 64 on board collided midair and crashed into the Potomac River.
Investigators have recovered the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder from the American Airlines passenger plane, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said on Thursday. They are now at NTSB labs for evaluation. Trump said the operation has shifted to a recovery mission. U.S. media reported that dozens of bodies have been removed from the Potomac River.
