1,300 students in quarantine at District 186

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — More than 1,000 students at District 186 are now in quarantine as of Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Specifically, according to the district's COVID-19 dashboard, 1,300 students are in exclusion.

To put that in perspective, there are just over 13,000 students enrolled in the district.

On Monday night, the district reported 975 students were in quarantine.

Just that morning the number stood at just under 870.
