11 Hilarious Responses to Late Night TV’s ‘Climate Night’ Programming

Reposted from HOLLYWOOD in TOTO

Twitter users scorch liberal hosts, bring up their million-dollar lifestyles

Christian Toto

Late night TV is your one-stop center for progressive messaging.

This week, the liberal hosts are making it official.

Trevor Noah, James Corden, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Samantha Bee, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel will all turn part of their programming over to climate activism tonight.

It doesn’t matter where one stands on climate change. Expecting comedians to transform their platforms into messaging centers is awkward at best. It’s even worse since the various shows essentially do just that on a nightly basis already.

Then again, social media users found the announcement hilarious – but not in the way Colbert and co. expected.

This is going to establish terrifying new frontiers of sheer unwatchability pic.twitter.com/mcSUkE2O4q

The best way to save the climate is to turn off your TVs tomorrow. Conserve power, folks. It’s the only way. https://t.co/io6daJFFGz

North Korean stand-up comedians take substantially more risks in their acts than you woke sycophants do. Colbert used to be great on @jonstewart. Today he is as funny as Ebola. Predictable ideologues masquerading political dogmatism as “jokes.” Regain your funny bones.

And therefore: no longer comedy!

RELATED: Meet Today’s Late Night Comedy Hosts

There’s another element here that the media won’t explore.

How much energy do these various shows consume? Even more interesting? What about the hosts themselves?

Hell, I may have been really inspired and got a 1/2 hog to cook, that would have been 12-14 hours worth of oak and hickory and maple burning. Perhaps next year they tell people ahead of time. 😉

I think you will fine, Young Big, that the reason there are few ‘Conservative Comedy Shows’ out there is that the Left and their easily trumatised safe space friends joined their little diverse arms together and screamed and screamed till they were blue in the face.

Left Wing Comedy revolves around repeating key words in front of all those who agree with you.

Left Comic – “How about that Donald Trump and telling people to drink bleach? Am I right?”
Left Wing Comic Crowd – “LOL LOL LOL LOL”

It is about conforming to that our social betters decide.

Right Wing Comedy revolves around mocking things we all secretly want to mock, saying what we all secretly want to say and not really giving a toss about who gets offended.

The jokes are offensive. They are designed to make you cringe because part of the joke is taking what is protected and breaking the rules.

What is Green and goes red at the flick of a switch?
Frog in a blender.

There you go – violence against animals. Clearly I am a bad person, but you are going to remember the joke and probably re-tell it anyway.

Or you mess with deliberate expectations

What do you call a black man sitting up the front of an airliner?
The pilot you racist prick!

Conservative humour, possibly paradoxically, is often deliberately offensive or at least mocks those that some people in life thing should be off limits, and the SJW of this world find that sort of humour upsets their safe spaces.

Dean Martin admitted that sponsors paid him to have a drink and cigarette in his hands almost constantly.
Dean did occasionally drink and get drunk, but his drunkard routine was an act.

One of those times Dean drank a little too much, it pissed off Sinatra who was quitting the rat pack anyway.

Only what pissed off Sinatra pissed off a lot of movie and TV producers. Dean stayed with it and managed to get roles in movies, TV specials and finally his own TV shows.

TV Censors forbid drinking real liquor on TV, so all of the drunk routines were pure fiction by that time.

Sinatra never really forgave Dean. They’d sing occasionally, but rat pack camaraderie was gone.

I watched and watch Johnny Carson regularly. Back when he was on every night, I’d stay up long past when I should’ve been in bed. i.e. watching an hourly late night 11pm TV show made it tough to be at work by 4:30AM.

Johnny Carson and his show were definitively liberal. Many of his jokes and skits portrayed conservatives as backwards idiots.

Johnny treated all guests similarly. He prepped well before their appearance and rarely pushed or pursued criticism at a guest. Unlike the late night imitators, Johnny never openly mocked guests negatively. Unlike simpering Dick Cabot or David bedwetter.

Johnny is shown by various stations, again in a late night time slot. The shows are not shown sequentially, but the channel does match weekday shows to weekdays and the longer Friday night shows with Fridays.

It is especially amusing to watch people like Jerry Brown appear on the night show in his various political positions. Jerry’s claimed beliefs and actions often reversed themselves in every new position.
Johnny often asked about these position changes, but allowed Jerry Brown full time for a response; at least unless he was signaled for a commercial break.

Want to get recognition doing something? Anything? Speak or write the magic words …. Climate Change. Anthropogenic was too hard for people to say much less remember so it was shortened to Global Warming. Global Warming wasn’t happening and after a few morphs they settled on Climate Change because it goes with everything, is easy to remember, and everyone craves instant recognition when their miserable lives fail to satisfy. And best of all …… you get media support and free advertising.

The Name Game: From “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” (energyandcapital.com)

In 2002, Republican political strategist Frank Luntz wrote a memo urging conservative politicians to begin using the term “climate change” over “global warming,” – because climate change sounded less alrming.

Luntz later said he’d been wrong on climate change…

Frank Luntz, a veteran Republican pollster, disavowed work Thursday in the early 2000s to cast doubt on the science behind climate change and said America, on the whole, wants the federal government to “do more, right now, to address it.” (2019)

Mr. griff: So, Frank Luntz directed American conservative opinion by issuing memos from on high in ’02? Plus, he invented the term in ’02, and changed the lexicon all by himself? Nobody but Mr. Luntz noticed that after ’98, it cooled off?
By ’02, AGW activists were forced (by temp readings) to figure out how to keep the press on board. Your “Frank Luntz” memo tale is a classic use of a bit of truth (can’t deny he sent a memo at a time he fancied himself as the new Karl Rove) to obscure the thousands of memos sent by leftists telling folks that changing “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” would be the sort of “climate communication” that the press would follow in the face of contradictory data.
I don’t ordinarily bother with you, but the idea that conservatives changed the terminology is too farcical even for you.

Although “climate change” was always out there (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) from 1988, after man-made global cooling was memory holed, global warming was the common term. During “The Pause” the laughable term “climate change” was promoted in order to account for any type of weather.

Good sense doncha think
Also think what might go on if the entire adult population of the UK had an extra 6 hours per day of time on their hands – could do a lot of Science and Lobbying in that time eh not……

Gave up TV 30 years ago.

People used to ask us what we did with all that time. I asked them how they ever found enough time for TV?

Back in those days, I seem to recall that canoodling was pretty high on the list of alternative activities….

My favorite is Bill Maher, wish he was participating in this stupidity, in many ways he really is my favorite as at least he is willing to point out the hypocrisy and stupidity of liberals.
But he leans into AGW most shows, obligatory mentions all the way up to rants, but then at the end of every show he lists his upcoming live shows all around the country, that he obviously gets on a plane to get there and back.

We must “DO SOMETHING”, but meanwhile i’ll continue jetting around the world because that is what my career and lifestyle requires.

This seems to be on Insta-sham and therefore of no interest to me. Twatter, to check in on Climate Realists and a low profile on Fakebook to keep up with friends and family are the only concessions I make to the global onethink.

Stayed up to watch Corden’s Horse Cart Karaoke segment where he shuns the conspicuous consumption Range Rover to plod around the streets with Neil Young as his guest. His version of Long May You Wait At The Charging Station was different than I remember.

Should have gone to bed early.

Doesn’t matter how much energy the shows or the hosts consume. Humans worship the rich and stupid, hoping to get a bread crumb. Just as people starved while the rich thrived throughout all history. It’s who humans are and there is no changing that. The best you can do is build that invisible compound in Colorado and live as they did in Atlas Shrugged, all thousand or so of you who actually understand the concepts.
