Juventus and AC Milan are on high alert to sign Inter owned forward Mauro Icardi, according to a report from English tabloid the Daily Mail.
The report details how both the Rossoneri and Bianconeri are set to fight for the signature of the 27-year-old Argentine striker, should Paris Saint Germain decide not to sign him permanently.
The Parisians have only offered Inter €50 million plus €10 million in bonuses for Icardi, €20 million lower than the agreed upon fee of €70 million, prompting Inter to decline the offer according to several Italian sources. However talks are ongoing and Inter could settle for €60 million plus €10 million in add-ons, according to the report.
Both Milan and Juventus are monitoring the situation closely, the report continues, and are preparing to launch an assault for Icardi. The Turin based club would be willing to include Brazilian Alex Sandro in the deal, and could even offer Miralem Pjanic, despite Barcelona’s interest in the player.
Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists.
