The new releases we covered in the last month encompass first and second entries in several series. Among the initial volumes are Andrew Litton leading the Bergen Philharmonic in Prokofiev's symphonies and Orli Shaham's reading of Mozart's piano sonatas. Series with their second volumes recently published include the Mozartists' exploration of Sturm und Drang style works and John Wilson rediscovering the orchestral music of Eric Coates. Also, Christoph Eschenbach completes his two-volume set of the Kammermusik suites by Paul Hindemith. Start planning your binge listening sessions.
