"I have a thick mane of very fine hair and as a result, have found traditional brushes to be largely ineffective. Paddle brushes can't reach through the layers of hair to my scalp, and regular brushes have bristles that are too poky and wide set. This one is somehow....perfect? It caresses every single strand, leaves my mane looking majorly glossy, AND feels like a scalp massage. 10/10 would recommend!" —Victoria Kuglin

"The non-sticky formula didn't hurt or sting at all – it actually had quite a nice cooling effect! Not only did it remove my cuticles, but it also cleaned up the excess skin around the edges of my nails that can sometimes make my nail polish go on bumpy – truly a multipurpose hero if ever I saw one!" —Valeza Bakolli

"I keep buying this stuff over and over again because it's literally transformative. I'm currently going through an Invisalign treatment, which has had the side effect of making my mouth super dry. This stuff has been my saving grace — I will not go to bed (or wake up in the morning) without putting some on my lips. It's thick, so a little goes a loooong way. I also use a hint of it on my eyelids sometimes, to give my eyelashes a little conditioning, too." —Brittany Barber

I keep coming back to this moisturizer because it's just so good. It has a rich, creamy texture without feeling thick or greasy and it's so gentle that it's the one of the only products I use when my skin is freaking out. I also love how multipurpose this product is. I can use a dollop for my daily moisturizer or use a bit more as a sleeping face mask before bed. Plus, it's so hydrating and makes my skin so plump and smooth that I can skip my primer before I apply makeup. I honestly refuse to run out of this product because I don't know what my skin would do without it.
Get it from Skinstore or $22.88.
"Since I ordered mine a little over a month ago, I've used it every night and every other time I shower, and am IN LOVE. I'm so happy with the way my hair finishes drying. It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty good for a heat-free and lazy routine. You put your hair up like you always have, but it's SUPER lightweight and doesn't pull." —Natalie Brown

I have very thick hair to begin with, but I normally wear it in long braids that hold onto water like no one's business. I don't use heat styling tools, so after washing my hair, it can take a whole day for them to air dry — and sometimes I'll even wake up with damp hair. These scrunchies are absolute game changers. I just snatch my hair into a ponytail, bun, or a pair of space buns (if I'm feeling cute), and wait for the magic to happen. After a couple hours, my hair is basically dry. And as you can see from the GIF, the scrunchie absorbed most of the moisture.

"I'm a little hesitant to put a scrub in my hair so I'll get back to you on that, but as a body scrub this St Bart's-inspired product is a 10/10. The texture is nice (not too rough) and lathered up really well while still doing a great job at exfoliating the dry skin off of my legs. It's also made with coconut oil that left my skin feeling extra smooth and nourished. Essentially, it's turned my post-workout shower into a spa-like retreat and I couldn't be happier." —Heather Braga

I've low-key been using my body wash as shaving cream for years, so I was really happy to find a product that is meant to be used as both. It just makes sense! Dove body wash is one of my go-tos, and this mousse is just as creamy and moisturizing as the regular body wash. Instead of spreading a palm's worth of body wash over my legs before I shave, I can just shake and dispense this lightweight foam straight onto my body. It's not as thick, so my razor can glide over my skin, leaving it soft, smooth, and hydrated. I've tried both coconut and rose and loved both scents.

"Along with everyone else who watches TikTok, I got very into CeraVe products this year — and I loved this night cream as soon as I started using it. It's plumping, softening, and hydrating — without any greasiness or overpowering fragrances. But it wasn't until I had an allergic reaction to a *different* cream that I truly understood how great this (budget-friendly!) one is — it brought my skin back to normal in just a week." —Maitland Quitmeyer

I love face masks, but applying them with my fingers can get a little messy. These applicators have made it dramatically easier and faster to shellac my face with my favourite clay mask, so I can actually sit back and relax instead of cleaning up my hands. The silicone tip also makes it easy to spread my masks on my face, so I'm not using as much product. It's basically a spatula for your face. They're great for my gel face masks, which tend to be a little more liquid and harder to apply. I also like using them when I'm using multiple masks. I have more control over where the product goes and they're super easy to clean afterward.

"I use this foaming cleanse in the morning because its cooling effect really wakes up my skin. It has white willow bark, which is a natural form of salicylic acid that helps prevent skin congestion and acne. The oat and cylindrica seed oils also do a fantastic job of removing all the excess oils my face has so generously produced overnight, without making my skin feel dried out. It starts off creamy, and as you rub it into your skin with water, it becomes a foamy, milky gift from the skin-care gods. That transition makes me feel like it's activating some magical ingredient that will make my breakouts disappear. Even if it's not magic, whatever it's doing — it's working." —Jennifer Tonti

I've been washing my hands a lot recently (AS WE ALL SHOULD BE) and it was starting to take a toll on my skin. My hands were so dry and the skin felt really tight immediately after washing. So I started using some Caudalie hand cream, and it's become the second step in my hand-washing routine. The texture is light and it absorbs really quickly without leaving behind a sticky or greasy feeling. And it has a warm citrus scent that I find very subtle and soothing. My hands look and feel moisturized and soft, and I'll definitely be restocking once I finish the tube.

"It's one of the only cosmetics I repeatedly buy, because it looks just as great with a tanned, summer complexion as it does with my ghostly winter skin. My personal favourite feature, though, is that it fades into a wonderful, crimson stain on the lips after longer wear, and doesn't leave that annoying lipstick ring that looks like I sloppily drank Kool-Aid. Because it's a lip pencil, it's so much easier to apply than a traditional lipstick, so you don't need to be a makeup artist to apply it." —Victoria Kuglin

"I love a product that doesn't require me to use a ton of it for it to work. This blush it so pigmented, all you need to do is blend out a tiny dab on each cheek. I got it in the shade "happy," which has a radiant finish that actually brings life back into my face! It's officially my new favourite blush. I couldn't recommend it more."

'"K. I finally bought a silk pillowcase, and let me tell you: I wish I had done it sooner! It has literally transformed my day two curls. After sleeping on a regular cotton pillowcase, my curls would be a frizzy mess and I'd have to style 'em again (or just take a shower). Now? They're just as nice as they were before I hit the hay. It also feels cooling on my face all night long, which, as someone who is a hot sleeper, is a mighty bonus. And yes, this baby is 100% silk."—Brittany Barber

This product is a lazy girl’s dream! I don’t need to hop into the shower to shave my legs — and best of all, no razor burn. The remover is totally painless and really easy to use. My skin hasn’t felt dry in months, the smell is absolutely lovely, and it gives my complexion a dewy glow. I also love that I can use it as an eye cream/mask. Is this pricey? Yes. "It's great for cooling down when it feels like a sauna outside, it helps wake me up in the morning, and it saves me when I have a migraine. Unlike jade and quartz rollers, the roll-y part is made of gel, so when you pop it in the freezer it actually gets cold and stays cold for a loooooong time. It's also a lot larger than those doodads, so you can cover larger parts of your body, like your thighs and stomach (not just your under-eye area)." —Alice Prendergast

I'm a huge fan of lipstick, but lately I've been skipping a bold lip in favour of a hydrating lip balm or gloss. This lip balm has been my go-to because it not only moisturizes my lips, but leaves a slightly glossy finish and subtle stain on my lips. Don't get me wrong, I have to reapply throughout the day, just like a regular lip balm. I just love how easy it is to create the perfect shade of pink for my lips — just swipe and go. It looks natural and makes me feel less like a corpse on the days I don't want to wear a full face of makeup.

"These cotton rounds have come in super handy when it comes to taking off my foundation and eye makeup at the end of the night. The pack comes with three large rounds and two small rounds. After absolutely destroying my feet during a long weekend walk, I needed some *major* help. I scooped half a cup of these salts into the tub and soaked my tootsies for about 30 minutes. Even though I had blistered them up pretty bad, my feet were noticeably less swollen and the blisters less inflamed (gross, I know). Because they also contain aloe and vitamin E, my skin actually felt pretty hydrated and happy after I got out — a far cry from some drying bath products I've used." —Victoria Kuglin

These Cosrx patches kept catching my eye, so I finally caved and bought a pack. They're wildly inexpensive, so I thought, what do I have to lose? And dang. I love that the shades are designed to be versatile, which means I don't have to keep 101 different products in my makeup bag. I'm pretty sensitive to fragrances, too, so I can appreciate that these gels are pretty fragrance free. "I started using this when I came back to Canada after spending a year in a hot 'n' humid climate. So, my face when it felt winter again was, like, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME? Every time I put moisturizer on it just sat on top of my wildly dry skin, no matter what I tried. And my nose? Flake city. Not cute. After hearing rave reviews about The Ordinary, I went into Deciem and spoke to one of their beauty specialists, who basically threw this bottle at me. They put a drop of hyaluronic acid on my left hand and added moisturizer, then added only moisturizer to my right hand for comparison. One minute later, my left hand had absorbed all of the moisture, and my right had a white cast of cream left on it. I was sold, and now I can't live without it." —Brittany Barber

It's funny to think that I apply sunscreen every day, but never think about protecting the skin on my lips, which is a lot thinner and more sensitive. I keep this lip balm in my coat pocket, so I never leave the house without it. I love how light it feels on my lips. It sinks right into my skin and leaves a slightly shiny finish behind. Also, the watermelon scent is delicious.

"Using it is simple: you mix the powdery clay with equal parts water or apple cider vinegar (I like to do a combo of the two), and apply it to your face as you would any other face mask. When this stuff starts to dry you are in for an experience. It freezes your face in place and tightens up every pore, and makes you seriously look like a lizard queen (see above photo for reference). I’ll be honest with you, the feeling is not that pleasant, but hold on – the end result is worth it. You can also just do spot treatments if you don't want to cover your whole face." —Alice Prendergast

It's a pre-shampoo product, so I just massage it into my scalp before I get into the shower. It looks like a creamy conditioner, but it actually has a slightly gritty texture once you warm up the product (don't worry, it washes away easily with water). I've been using it for a few months now and it really works wonders on my dry scalp. I like that it doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped, which has been my experience using other scrubs. I use it about once a month to give my hair and scalp a really good deep clean.

"This mascara feels like it actually conditions my lashes when I have it on, and never feels crispy or clunky (like some do). Like, have you ever put on mascara and thought, frig, is this why my eyelashes are stunted? Yeah, that does NOT happen with this one. It also comes off super easily at night, which is great when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to deal with a full-on scrub down." —Brittany Barber

"When it comes to hair ties, I'm a pretty picky person. I hate the classic ties that dig into your wrists and I wouldn't be caught dead with a regular o'l elastic in my ponytail. However, my hair is super fine, meaning it slips out of almost anything I put in it, so just any old alternative won't do. Insert: Kitsch hair ties. These coiled ties wrap around my tresses and actually stay put until I'm ready to let down my locks (you know, like Rapunzel). Also, they don't leave indents in my hair, which is a blessing since my hair is very prone to getting bent out of shape." —Alice Prendergast
