President Xi walks away with this year’s top EMMA award:

From NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

President Xi walks away with this year’s top EMMA award:

image

We at the GWPF were taken aback by the huge interest in this year’s search for the World’s Greatest Climate Hypocrite of the Year, with over a hundred readers submitting nominees and to explain why their favoured green virtue signaller was a worthy winner of an “Emma” award.

Speaking of which, it was good to see Emma Thompson nominated again. We’re not sure she has been in public eye for eco-hypocrisy again in 2020, so we imagine this was simply a recognition of the sheer magnitude of her brass neck in 2019. We’re fans too!

Amusingly, another Emma tried to get in on the act for this year’s awards, with RenewableUK’s Emma Pinchbeck nominated for her confession to installing a new gas boiler.

Watchers of the green cult couldn’t get enough of Harry and Meghan this year, with their fans nominating them in the “Eco-warriers/eco-worriers” and the “Ludicrous Luvvies” categories. And David Attenborough had a great deal of support too.

It’s fair to say that competition was red hot, with nominations ranging from Lewis Hamilton (go vegan peasants!) to Ursula von der Leyen (eco-lectures from the steps of her private jet), to the Norwegian State Pension Fund (don’t ask).

But in the unanimous opinion of the judges the winners of the categories were:

Eco-warriors and Eco-worriers – Torvil and Dean, for the awe-inspiring brazenness of their trip to Alaska to tell us about the perils of global warming.

Ludicrous Luvvies – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for their shameless demand that we should cut our carbon emissions, while swanning around the world in private jets and helicopters.

But in the unanimous opinion of the judges, it was our Preening Politician of the year who should take the overall accolade of Climate Hypocrite of the Year 2020. And who is that, we hear you ask? Well, it’s someone who does his hypocrisy on a truly global scale.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we give you Xi Jinping, the president of China. The General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party is a deserving winner this year for his smooth parading of “concern” for the climate while all the time building hundreds of coal-fired power stations in China and around the world as fast as he possibly can.

Congratulations to all our worthy winners. You are truly, truly shameless.

Jacinda Ardern, not Adern. Just another useful idiot for President Xi.

Old Horse face and the pathetic Green loving Climate Crises she declared.
Her degree was in communication and it shows in the way the stupid public voted.

Contrary to the award, President Xi is not a hypocrite. He knows exactly the Information Warfare game he is playing vis-a-vis the Climate Scam on the West to foment an internal destruction there (here). An internal destruction no external force could produce. We’ll do it to ourselves because we’ve dumbed-down our education system and allowed blithering idiots like AOC and MA’s Senator Markey and Dementia Joe control our government.

Yes. GWPF have got the choice of the recipient of the award wrong this time. Joel’s reasons and other considerations are only a starting point. Of course the whole thing hinges on the false set of hypotheses blaming anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide as most here know only too well.

Pragmatism. The Diplomatic trick of telling people to f off without a hint of menace. Speak softly but carry a big sack of coal.

The fact that people believe a hypocrite does not mean that they are anything other than a hypocrite. IMHO Xi Jinping’s award is well-earned for the reasons given.

What Xi is doing is hypocritical, I grant that. But Xi is not a hypocrite in that he knows what he is doing is part of China’s Grand Scheme to subvert the West and become the preeminent Global Super Power of the 21st Century.

Communism: Central control of the means of production and distribution. Factories and highways with their harbours. The new generation of whites accepted the label of “consumer”, from there the slavery to China proceeds.
As for coal; in the hinterlands, where solar panels and wind turbines are but science fiction stories from the Big City, coalfired electrix is a blessing from the gods. Whomever bestows the blessings, is god, and He will rule with an iron staff. Is anyone still unsure about communism being a religion? Go cleanse yourself, isolate meditatively from friends and family, pull a muzzle over your blasphemous mouth, and be sure to sacrifice some blood to the Prophet of the Coming Reset, or PCR.
Also, coal-burning technology has moved on a bit, more efficient, less polluting. How goes the technology that builds all those green dreams? Ya’ll think they run on unicorn farts? I suspect, to manufacture one green car takes more energy and causes more pollution than an African with electricity will use in a lifetime.

“But Xi is not a hypocrite in that he knows what he is doing is part of China’s Grand Scheme to subvert the West”

The Chimcoms, like the Democrats, think it is perfectly acceptable to lie to, and about, one’s political opponents, in order to gain power.

The irony is that he’s doing far more for poor countries by building power plants than we are by sending windmills and solar entrepreneurs.

Your comment is ringing true with me, Joel. There won’t be anything funny about him invading Taiwan which will provoke Biden/Harris to dither around until the job is finished. The world is a much more dangerous place with China running amuck. The Chinese rejecting clean Australian coal and switching to their internally-produced low-grade and dirty coal is enough to send them to the back of the CAGW bus, but their money and influence are everywhere these days. Not going to end well.

“Not going to end well.”

Not with someone like Biden in Office.

Trump was hampering the Chicom progress in taking over the world. Biden won’t even be a speed bump to them.

The Bad Guys of the world are rejoicing that Trump is no longer president. Free reign, now.

Joel as long as we run on fiat currency we may be able to afford this hypocrisy.

Installing a few million unreliable solar panels and wind turbines will drive up energy costs, but, no problem, Government can simply give $2k to each of it’s plebes. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I’m going to apply for one of those jobs AOC was talking about earlier, where you get paid, but you don’t have to go to work, or do any work at all.

Under those circumstances, I could “work” five or six jobs! Think of all the money I can make under Democrat rule!

Reply to  Tom Abbott

don’t think that is not the way it works. When I moved to Moscow, I was offered a job for $50 a month (1992). All professionals made the same. But the way they got ahead was not with promotions, because promotions did not have pay increases. They took a second job, then a third and so on. some professionals I worked with had as many as 8 jobs–that way, no one makes more than others for what they do–they just pretend to do more to increase their income. It is insane but the natural consequence of making everyone equal.

“We’ll do it to ourselves because we’ve dumbed-down our education system and allowed blithering idiots like AOC and MA’s Senator Markey and Dementia Joe control our government.”

There’s a possiblity that we are collectively too ignorant, for one reason or another, to govern ourselves properly.

Hypocrisy is saying; “what’s good for me but not for thee”. Like Mao, Xi lives like an emperor and doesn’t follow any of the limitations his party imposes on plebes. Left leaning politics wouldn’t function for five minutes if all the leaders weren’t hypocrites.

In this world, or in the US anyway, the majority eventually rules and might makes right. Just before the first Obama election, a number of polls revealed a slim majority favoring an end of the American Experiment of indirect representation, institutions and laws and, rather, a brutal form of strict Marxism. The large minority refused to believe this. The majority gradually grew. This reminds me of the siege and fall of Constantinople in 1453, from the Byzantine perspective. More recently, we see large companies and many of the very wealthy selling their hard-won inheritance for a bowl of stew. That reminds me of an OT story about Esau.

So, here we are. The only thing left is to trust Christ and not anything else, putting ourselves into the Lord’s hands. He died for the many sins of those who believe in Him. Have things ever really been any different?

I was disturbed to note that China controls 12 ports in Europe. It is part of their Belt and road initiative and gradually bit by bit China is insinuating itself into key aspects of the global economy

Their ambitions can be seen in more detail here and are very disturbing

https://www.the-american-interest.com/2018/11/29/chinas-trojan-ports/

Big corporations have assisted in this by exporting jobs to China and increase their profits and many consumers have gone along with it on the basis the product they buy may be a little cheaper.

Recently, I’ve started to wonder if these politicians, billionaires and celebrities aren’t really running a massive gaslight operation to purposely sabotage the climate change agenda they proclaim to support. Of course, any genuinely serious effort at eliminating CO2 from our lives would be decimating to their wealth, political power and lifestyles which they obviously do not want to give up. So they transparently participate in this hypocritical behavior that makes it impossible for any thinking individual to take them and their movement the least bit seriously. It’s win-win for them. They won’t have to sacrifice either their wealth or lifestyles, but they also get their virtue signalling points from their peers and the idiots who do take them seriously.

I think this is a mistake. Xi cannot take credit for China’s ‘green credentials’. In my opinion, that honor should go to the leftists in the West who, without Xi having any involvement or say in it, are holding China up as the gold standard in addressing ‘climate change’. Why are they doing this, when, clearly, it is absurd? It’s just another example of ‘my enemy’s enemy being my friend’. Many of these leftists will adopt any position, no matter how absurd, that they believe makes a statement that is ‘anti’ their own society.

I’ve thought for a long time that Emma and others of her ilk should volunteer to be the cattle that the Po’ Folkes can feast upon. Prime cattle, in fact, all loaded up with the fat of the land and no tenderizing needed because they are all slackers in their own way.

But that’s just me.

They’d better not show up on my doorstep looking for food. I will only throw empty cat food cans at them, laughing loudly and tell them to go pound sand.
