Hollywood to shut down in September after backlash over Extraction
The people on social media finally and for once won. That too against the God of Thunder who reportedly will also not be making any more God of Thunder movies after the next one.
All because the internet people said boo.
This came about after severe backlash from many dark coffee drinkers in Bangladesh regarding the Chris Hemsworth-starring Netflix hit Extraction.
"We drink coffee as dark as our souls, not because we are dark on the outside," said Abrar Abir Alam Geer from Gulshan who is COO of Movies Undermined For Facebook (MUFF). MUFF is a group that sits around telling people what you should watch and why enjoying Fast and Furious means you have no taste.
"Also we only drink Americano coffee from Gloria's Juans," he further added with an accent.
We pointed out this has nothing to do with this report. "Does the movie Extraction have anything to do with how Dhaka really looks?" he shot back.
Other intellectuals on Facebook chimed in on how the movie represented Dhaka. "Our city isn't yellow. It is mostly gray from all the land development," said Rahma Sadman, student of ANA SUE University.
The tremendous amount of Facebook posts throwing shade on the movie forced Hollywood to do something unprecedented. They admitted shame and remorse, mostly for not casting Dwayne The Rock Johnson in the original Gone with The Wind.
They have planned to fix all the issues with a sequel to Extraction called Exultation. Chris Hemsworth will star as the same hunk, but this time he will be holding a puppy all the time while drinking coffee at Brostars South End.
If Dhaka residents from Banani and Dhanmondi do not accept this apology, Hollywood will shut down.
Mexico and Russia, also similarly misrepresented in Hollywood, sent flowers and much of their criminal enterprises to Bangladesh as a show of support. Elsewhere, nobody cared.
