She ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Illinois House twice but now Betsy Dirksen Londrigan will be appointed by President Biden to act as the USDA Rural Development State Director for Illinois
Her resume includes 20 years in the nonprofit sector including working with community, regional and state leaders. Betsy is also a former Director at the University of Illinois-Springfield and a member of a farming family that still operates in Central Illinois.
