HBO’s Final Season Premiere of ‘Insecure’

Issa Rae Wore Rokh To HBO's Final Season Premiere of 'Insecure'

HBO’s final season premiere of ‘Insecure’ took place at Kenneth Hahn Park on Thursday (October 21) in Los Angeles, California.

I’m impressed that Issa Rae’s stylist saw the potential in this Rokh Spring 2022 camel cut-out dress with feather trims, as the model didn’t sell this look to me.

When it comes to Issa’s version, the lighter caramel colour is gorgeous against her skin, and the modifications did improve the dress.

I’m sure many will be put off by the underboob, especially considering this wasn’t so prevalent on the version we saw on the runway, but I’ve noticed that Issa has been leaning towards a sultrier red carpet style lately, so this didn’t really surprise me.

Issa’s co-star and real-life friend, Yvonne Orji also brought the flair with feathers.

I think the actress could’ve worked the look book version of this Greta Constantine Fall 2021 outfit, but I love how she was insync with her friend for their final bow.

Courtney Taylor didn’t appear to get the feather memo, but there were already enough feathers flying at this event.

The trousers appear to be a little too long, but the actress did look good wearing this Sergio Hudson Fall 2021 suit.

Jay Ellis was my best dressed at this event.

While I’m perspiring on his behalf on account of the double layered knits, he was looking so sharp in this AMIRI black and white look.

I particularly love the wool trousers, and the white Prada lug boots.

White turtlenecks were trending for the men on this red carpet.

Prentice Penny wore this with this Edikt Apparel custom suit made from deadstock 70’s fabric.

The designer said on his Instagram, “I always intended this fabric to be pants and @the_a_prentice said naw son make the whole suit. When I’m wrong I admit it.”

The look would’ve worked either way, but I do love this as a suit.
