Meghan Markle Inspires girls — No Matter How Famous, Rich, And Powerful, They Will Always Be Oppressed

Fame, Fortune and Victimhood status is possible for anyone*

Babylon Bee reports unrecognised benefits of Meghan and Harry interview, inspiring millions of young girls:

“Oppression is inescapable,” said Markle, who is married to a prince and worth approximately $50 million. “If you are a woman– especially a woman of color, oppression will follow you all the days of your life and you will never really be happy.”

You can have it all:

“Thanks to Meghan Markle, I feel like I too can grow up to be a famous, rich, beautiful oppressed person,” said Mikayla White, a 5th-grade girl from Southern California. “It’s so encouraging to be reminded that I can grow up to be in the top 1% while never losing my resentment and high sensitivity to microaggressions.”

Markle has promised to continue taking her message of hope to girls everywhere until no one is happy or thankful anymore.

–Babylon Bee.

Out with all that old restraint, diplomacy, and gratitude for fame and fortune.

The Australian ABC described the interview as the worst imaginable for the Royal Family. Though some of us can still imagine what it would be like if, say, the first in line to the throne had been actually caught having an affair.

Hyperbole knows no bounds.

*Except for old white Catholic Cardinals and climate skeptics.

Being told no, has become an issue of feelings being broken when the Queen will not give a Prince designation to a spoiled brat of a person.
And now becomes a public issue from a person who has no personality.
She’s just a person being paid to play a role and doing badly at it.

I forgot to add son. She wanted her son to have a Prince designation and the Queen felt it was too far from line of succession.

The Queen can make exceptions but the rule for over 100 years has been that only grandchildren of a reigning monarch in direct succession are automatically Princes or Princesses. Princess Anne decided that her children were not to be a Prince or Princess, Princess Margaret’s children and Prince Edward’s children and Lords and Ladies – the only exceptions at present are Prince Andrew’s children.

No idea why she thought Archie was going to be a Prince, and thanks to her actions, he is no longer HRH as well.

Megn actually said that her child could not be a royal because it might be coloured That’s probably ignorance.
Oprah suppoted that comment. Oprah also made it very clear they were not being paid. They share buiness intrests.
The business interests were promoted to an audiene estimated about 100,000,000 people world wide.
        What would that cost?

“. . doing badly at it.”
Judging by attention she is getting I’m not so sure. Depends I guess on what your aim in life is.

Sad situation. Either Megan Markle is the phoniest person we hear from, or this is one way she can get the sympathy and attention she lusts for in spite of her rich and famous position she has now.
Are whining and self-centered delusions permanent or will she get more attention the more she screams racism and oppression? I don’t think she would be satisfied with any amount of riches and fame. And, it is all our fault.
The Bee understands her even if I cannot.

The Many Lies of Meghan (and Harry) Markle.

Prince Harry? Never Heard Of Him.

Markle opened her CBS special with the risible claim that she had no familiarity with the British royal family before she started dating Harry, and that she didn’t look up her husband online.

The only problem is biographies of Markle have alleged otherwise, reporting that Meghan binge-watched footage of major Diana events as a teen and even owned a copy of Diana: Her True Story.

As her childhood friend Ninaki Priddy observed: “She was always fascinated by the royal family. She wants to be Princess Diana 2.0.”

So why does Markle claim ignorance with statements like “I didn’t do any research about what that would mean,” “I didn’t fully understand what the job was,” and “I didn’t romanticize any element of it”?

To prove that she couldn’t have realized the palace was a systemically hateful institution until she had already married one of its senior members and soaked in the lucrative limelight.

But yeah, Markle had never really heard of Harry before she married him. Sure.

A Bombshell Allegation, Minus The Allegation

It’s that Meghan and Harry can marry in a royal wedding, live in a palatial setting, consolidate unlimited wealth, power, and influence, and nonetheless sit down with Oprah to describe, for hours on end, how they have suffered in silence.

If Meghan and Harry can be victims, anyone can.

I’m liking the drift into criticism of the press, especially when it’s the result of leftwing group think. Their ABC chipped in with the hyperbole and never gets held to account for the extreme bias.

It’s this bias that gives climate alarmism some credibility despite the massive flaws that the majority of the population can’t follow the logic of. They’re going on trust of what gets reported. Showing that they can’t be trusted to be impartial is a good thing.

Ed, when 100% of the media carry five stories each in a single day of one non-event — what chance does a science story have? This was rich fodder for media-and-Meghan mockery, and there were many comments about it on the Unthreaded. Evidently people want to pop that bubble. The Babylon Bee was the best of the best.

As regards the racism issue I find that bi-racial couples are often curious about the effects of combining disparate genes and will often joke about the various possible combinations. Most likely it was a bit of mickey taking and the product of innocent curiosity.
Anyway, the British were keen on the marriage in order to make the Royal Family more diverse and modern. On that basis the darker the better. A pale face like Archie isn’t much use so maybe the next arrival will be more suitable.
Instead of gasping, Oprah should have asked:
‘Weren’t you both curious as well?’
A complete absence of journalistic skill and integrity by Oprah.
She should also have questioned the two of them on the mental health aspect. With Harry’s connections and money, help could easily have been obtained privately. The HR department only deals with Palace employees and Meghan wasn’t one.
The reality about titles should also have been addressed. Great grandchildren don’t get titles until the grandparent takes the throne. Thus, a racial motive was obviously not a factor.
The more one picks at all those allegations the less there is in them but Oprah was oblivious.
Meghan has played Oprah and everyone else.
Harry’s whinge about no longer receiving taxpayer money in his thirties after giving up his Royal obligations was astoundingly tone deaf.
As time passes they will look progressively worse.

Quite right, Stephen. It’s all in the subtlety of how it was said. Oddly, the Lord Lieutenant of London, who happens to be black, married to a white woman, was interviewed on R4 yesterday about this comment. He reported that when his first-born was born his mother asked him, will the child be black or white? Instead of getting het up he talked about it to her and realised that all she wanted to know was what colour to use for the knitted bootees etc she was planning – so they coordinated.
It’s all in the way it’s asked – and, in the right tone, not wrong to ask. But MM could make it sound like the declaration of war.

I sympathise with Megan Markle, but for completely different reasons.

For those who have never read it, I’ve always found Daniel Pink’s book, Drive, to be one of the best about how to motivate people. He puts motivation down to three key factors: autonomy, mastery and purpose. More significantly, his book cites a social experiment where those factors were purposely removed and then they watched what happened. The experiment had to be halted after 48 hours, because multiple individuals in the test group were showing signs of distress and mental illness.

Megan suggests she was ignorant of the British royal family, despite the length of time she and Harry were dating before they were married. That’s debatable. What’s not debatable is that she came from a very different background, was personally successful, and had a well established view of her role as a modern woman. Then she was forced to fit into a very different role as wife to a prince.

I do believe her when she says that she was nearly driven to suicide. She found herself powerless in a machine that ignored all her talent and experience. Harry’s decision to leave the royal family for his wife and family probably saved her life. But the victimhood behaviour is a leaf out of the #MeToo movement. Harry should have known better, given what the same machine did to his mother. But he couldn’t help who he fell in love with. I wish him well.

Sounded like she always thought she would have more influence. Be a general, not a foot soldier. Such ignorance definitely confines her to being told what do and say. Even the Queen needs to keep her opinions on government to herself and leave it to elected officials.

I like Pink’s materials of motivation. You can find them as animations from vimeo.
I do promote him as a person because he has been a speech writer of Al Gore.

Identity politics is one form of a class society. People are good creating groups as in the social experiment that you told. We have royal, noble families, tribes, castes, religions, university diplomas, genders, ages, skin colors, hair colors – you know the blonds 🙂

Republicanism is based on equality. Your identity does not matter. We are mixed race people and happy with that. Think about 1% Indian Pocahontas. I like women because they are feminine. I did not rise my daughter as a son. Our most beloved dog was mixed race.

You have two of the most spoilt and privileged people on the planet who at the time of the very expensive wedding were adored and got much favourable publicity.

They threw it away by their woke behaviour, their belief they were higher up the pecking order than they were, the taking of vast sums of public money, a demand for privacy to the extent they sued people who took photos of them, they lecture everyone on climate change as they jet round the world and at a time when his grandfather is desperately I’lldemonstrate just why they are prime pains in the neck.

She wanted to be a Hollywood princess and didn’t bother to find out anything about her new family who mostly spend their time attending dull factory openings or opening new community centres, not at glittering balls.

What if Megan Markle is a sneaky opportunist? You are assuming that Markle did not make stuff up. She was an actor.

This is great for publicity. What is coming next, is Markle’s tell all book about Royalty and Palace.

The Queen is not a racist. The Queen is not perfect. The Royalty are weird and out of touch. That is not news. This is just juicy gossip.

I think a better subject is the Governor of New York’s Cuomo (64 years old) ’s documented workplace sexual proposition of a 25 and 26-year-old women. And other aggressive sexual propositions of other young women. And lies. And altering of covid data. And threatening whistleblowers about altering covid data.

It is outrageous that Politicians (Clinton and now Cuomo) in the US have so much power… they use the power of their office and job.. to try to force/trap young aids/women to have sex. This is sick/sad. Bad for everyone. Sad for the young aids, the country. Bad for the Democratic party of America.

How refreshing to hear two rich folks whining about themselves … while so many people are dying from COVID, or lost their job because of COVID’s effect on their industry.

I believe Ms. Markup is lying about racism to get attention, and I doubt if the royal family did anything to prevent her from getting help for her alleged depression.

Her husband should have defended the royal family, but did not — they have not mistreated Ms. Markup is any way.

Just two leftists doing what leftists do best — whining about their ‘victimhood’, and trying to tear down the existing power structure — in this case, the British monarchy.

As “proof” of systemic racism, that leftists see everywhere, billionaire Oprah was paid $7 million to do that interview !

It think the the author of MM “we will always be oppressed” satire story is really saying, MM does have a point.

That said, it’s getting harder to detect satire in the Press!! The Gateway Pundit has footage of Biden making statements that make us wonder who exactly IS in charge?

Queen Elizabeth II Responds to Meghan Markle’s Racism Accusations

Yet it would not be fitting for the queen to excoriate Meghan Markle in this way. Rather, Elizabeth II responded gracefully, expressing sympathy with Markle and Harry, promising to investigate the claims, and subtly suggesting that Markle’s accusations of racism may be overblown by noting that “some recollections may vary.”

Claims of racism in the royal family should be handled privately, if that is at all possible. The queen’s statement suggests that Meghan Markle did not voice these concerns privately before going to the media and tarnishing the royal family publicly.

This statement suggests Markle betrayed the royal family’s trust in order to gain attention — but it did not explicitly condemn Harry or Meghan. The queen is far too subtle and dignified to do that.

    From the Comments

    – Given how traumatic it was for years with the family, I doubt the family would ever risk putting them in that situation again.

    – One would think that Wallis Simpsons was the education they needed.

    – Exactly. Divorced American women should be avoided by British Princes at all costs. Nothing but trouble.

Ms Markle may have a few legitimate gripes which she presented quite convincingly…..employing her full range of acting skills. However the interview that did display a true dilemma suffered by a truly genuine person is available on Rudd’s dreaded Murdoch media..just catch up with Kylie Moore-Gilbert’s Iran experiences. Makes Markle look grossly artificial.

So Mrs Prince Harry in THAT interview, in amongst her determination to tell us “the truth” and how she was lied to by the Palace, then tells us that they were “married” 3 days before the wedding because they wanted to have their private vows just for themselves. So they rang the Archbishop of Canterbury and he came and officiated (just the three of them). Where were the witnesses? The ABC has been quick to point out that they weren’t married, it was purely to say their vows to each other. So that either means that Mrs. Prince Harry lied in the interview (heaven forfend) or, if indeed they were married 3 days before, then they gulled the whole world and really did bring Hollywood to Windsor for a fake wedding. A whingeing Pom and a whingeing Yank.

Whoops, can’t use those old Cobber stereotypes any more.

The thing is that when we could all describe each other however we liked there was steady improvement in the level of mutual respect between nations and ethnicities. Probably due to the fact that being able to both give it out and receive it with equanimity engenders toughness and respect.

Now that we can no longer freely trash each other there is actually a steady deterioration in relationships.

As always, the virtue signalling know-alls make things worse rather than better.

From the little I know about all this, Meghan wants to hear no criticism of anything she does or represents. Yet the rest of us including many of the rich and famous, cop ridicule and gossip like grown ups. That is, unless it’s seriously damaging to our interests, we ignore it. One solution to Meghan’s complaints would be for her to ignore criticism and simply do good deeds. She’d win people over.

But she seems to be stuck at about 14 in terms of emotional development.

Gotta love Harry…thinking with his pants instead of his brains. Of course, the Royals are not known for their celibacy (and this includes Diana). As far as I’m concerned, the Royals can fornicate whenever they want (however, the idea of an Australian Republic is purely toxic).
