Angry Nigerians react to the killing of Remo Stars player Tiyamu

On Saturday, the assistant captain of Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC), Tiyamu 'Kaka' Kazeem, was allegedly killed by a policeman from the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) from the Ogun State Command.

The defender was on his way to Sagamu with one of his teammates, Sanni Abubakar after their training in Abeokuta on Saturday afternoon when they ran into SARS operatives who labelled Kazeem as a 'yahoo boy' despite presenting his identity (ID) card to identify himself as a player of Remo Stars FC.

In a statement released by Remo Stars Football Club, it was claimed that the two players were being led to the station when one of the police’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) pushed Kazeem out a moving vehicle, leading to his death.

The death of the young footballer has sparked an outrage online, bringing back the hashtag, #EndSARS.

The so-called SARS are becoming domestic terrorists .It should be outlawed and disbanded as soon as possible . Even supposing the man was a Yahoo boy,Does it mean a death penalty and extra judicial killing.

SARS needs to end. Nigerian Police need restructuring and reorientation with constant unplanned urine test for drugs.
