This is a welcome development. If possible, the remaining 18 parties should be trimmed down to less than 10.

Multi party democracy is good but what we had during the last presidential election when over 70 parties contested was a mockery of multi party democracy.

All the de-registered political parties should come together and coalesce into one strong political party. Mushroom parties here and there will not add any value to our democratic process.
