The UN’s latest climate science report is out and (surprise, surprise) has abandoned science in favor of ramped up threats of apocalypse.
The UN’s climate science body is the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The IPCC’s shrill warnings of doom are based on the most extreme, yet most unlikely climate models. These implausible computer simulations never come close in real life.
The IPCC’s solution this year is to go all-in on “attribution science,” which in effect means blaming natural weather events on human activity in an attempt to frighten us all into compliance.
The media jumped right on board. Take a look. There are pictures of angry red fires and leaping flames everywhere.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres was formerly head of the Socialist International. Guterres issued a statement in which he called the IPCC report a “code red for humanity.” “The alarm bells are deafening,” he said, “and the evidence is irrefutable: greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel burning and deforestation are choking our planet and putting billions of people at immediate risk.”
Fire, flood, famine, snow, tornadoes, hurricanes and drought, you name it, from now on it’s all your fault. That today’s weather, extreme or otherwise, is historically normal is conveniently and consistently buried.
The answer the UN demands is massive control over our economy and trillions spent on so-called “solutions” that won’t alter the temperature of the Earth in any meaningful way.
