Where is this?

Why the hell should you even need to ask, it's as if the OP wanted the attention from someone asking. If you're going to title something the way it is here then bloody well include the place name.........

Gifford Pinchot National Forest

One of my favorite places, especially during huckleberry season

u/Pnwhkrn2dogs avatar

Yes they are so tasty! I'm creating an edible landscape in my backyard and I'm including lots of native plants including a couple different Huckleberry varieties.

u/buffalo_chum avatar

Is a huckleberry really just a blueberry grown in high elevations?

Definitely sweeter and they are smaller. The plants don’t look all that similar. Huckleberry plants look more shrub like.

u/Pnwhkrn2dogs avatar

Well I guess in a manner of speaking. It is a Vaccinium as is a Blueberry.

It's not that gloomy if you can enjoy it. Never minded it myself. At least it doesn't snow much. (Depending on location.) Gorgeous summers... I sort of liked that the last one wasn't even hot.

It's just a title. I love the rain. I grew up here and at one point moved to the desert. I definitely prefer to live with moss and ferns than cacti and palms.

I moved to the northwest from a place that was gray and foggy and cold and windy 300 days a year. A little rain ain't that gloomy, and the sun and snow in between is like heaven.
