IGRUA trainer aircraft crashes, cadet pilot escapes unhurt
NEW DELHI: A trainee pilot had a miraculous escape when her aircraft crashed in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The trainee pilot is a student of government-run Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) at Fursatganj, Amethi.
“The aircraft was engaged in circuit and landing. It was being flown by trainee cadet J Chawla. At 3.20 pm, the aircraft Zlin 242L (VT- IGM) met with an accident. She (the trainee pilot) is reported to be unhurt,” said a senior official.
The DGCA is probing the accident.
