Experienced Video Editor - Remote

Hayden5 is seeking to contract a new video editor to work remotely. As an editor, you’re great at storytelling and have extensive knowledge of the post-production process. You excel at assembling media assets into high-quality, dynamic content. You’re a team player, take direction well, and are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assemble footage into rough, fine and final cuts while maintaining professional standards.
• Work hand-in-hand with the assigned post producer for creative direction.
• Adhere to internal guidelines for the management and storage of media and assets.
• Maintain clean edit sequences and label all media correctly.
• Receive and implement notes from producers, senior leadership, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide assets for finishing in a timely and organized manner.
• Quality check videos and deliverables to ensure all assets meet standards, appropriate specs and are ready for upload and archive.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines and keep a positive attitude while under pressure.
• Track time daily.

Requirements:

• 3+ years client edit experience.
• High-speed internet connection.
• Adobe Suite Subscription.
• Must have editing workstation capable of editing 4K footage without transcoding.
• Must have a webcam for remote edits and collaboration.
• Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Cloud family of applications.
• Experience in Adobe After Effects a plus.
• Detailed technical knowledge of camera formats and video codecs.
• A problem solver who can troubleshoot technical and editorial issues.
• Experience managing video projects without direct supervision, but capable of working within a team setting under direct supervision.
