Governor Wike Bans Sowore’s ‘#RevolutionNow’ Protest In Rivers State

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has banned Monday’s planned ‘#RevolutionNow’ protest in the state.
Activist, Omoyele Sowore is the convener of #RevolutionNow protest. He has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS.
Wike said that Rivers State is not part of the #RevolutionNow protest and whatever illegal agenda it sought to pursue.
A statement issued by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant on Electronic Media, quoted The governor as saying: “Rivers State does not subscribe to what the RevolutionNow protest represents and Rivers State is not part of the protest.”
Wike directed security agencies in the state to arrest anybody involved in the RevolutionNow protest and also take all necessary steps to prosecute such persons.
He urged parents to ensure that their children were not misled by agents of the march to participate in the illegal protest.
“All council chairmen are directed to be at alert. If they suspect any illegal gathering, they should report to the security agencies for immediate action,” Wike said.

My bros, Gov Wike has divided d mine of his pple.
And that is d method Northerners are using to weaken & oppress us.
That was d same system they used during civil war, making sure that they get some pple within you to betray you. Even our Militants boys they are killing at any operation is betrayed by our pple.
Can you imagine, since boko h started plus herdsmen now NO outsiders can penetrate or know their secret even d whole Nig Army can not penetrate where they are talkless of winning them.
What I’m trying to say is our pple is d major problem in Southern part they are giving the enermy opportunity to win any case over us, whereas such can not be done to them by the Northerners, especially our Govs & big men in yoruba they are betrators.
They are ready to betray their pple bcos of position, political appointment & connections.
The only solution is to rise up & protest against all our betrayers.

What is governor Wike’s business in the people expressing their grievances through a protest march? The people of Rivers State have a thousand and one reasons to provoke a similar protest. Wike should read the informed opinion of Prof Soyinka and that of Falana on this matter and advise himself appropriately. Here is a man the people of Rivers State should have voted out but for the mess created by Amaechi. These are people ‘hatched from the same egg’.The show must go on.
