BHOPAL: Former chief minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday hit out at the state government for corruption over mass transfers and delay in farm loan waiver and said that Congress leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and
Digvijaya Singh are making controversial statements to exert pressure on chief minister
Kamal Nath. Chouhan said that he would extend his support to the farmers’ agitation.
Chouhan said, “Congress leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Digvijaya Singh’s tweet and make statements to put pressure on Kamal Nath.
First they take a picture of cow and post a tweet stating how the condition of cows has worsened in MP. When the work is done, they start praising that Kamal Nath is working fine. They are playing a game in MP.”
Using the statement by Congress leaders as fresh ammunition to target the Kamal Nath government, Chouhan said that it was not only the Congress leaders, but even senior ministers have been alleging largescale corruption in mass transfers. This is really shameful and people had never thought of a pitiable situation like this in
Madhya Pradesh, said Chouhan. “The Congress government has been exposed. Not only this, it is shameful that Congress ministers have openly admitted corruption in transfers in the state,” said Chouhan.
The Congress hit back at Chouhan and said that it was BJP which has been facing internal differences. “There seems to be a communication gap among Shivraj Singh Chouhan,
Gopal Bhargava and Rakesh Singh. Their allegations against Congress leaders are baseless,” said Congress state spokesperson Narendra Singh Saluja.
