Video of MLA Kunwar Pranav Champion ‘enjoying’ woman’s dance surfaces

Video of Uttarakhand MLA Pranav Singh Champion enjoying woman's dance goes viral
The video shows a woman wearing salwar kameez dancing on a raunchy number in Champion’s Roorkee residence-cum-office.
ROORKEE: Days after his video brandishing guns went viral, now a clip of MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion “enjoying” a young woman’s dance performance in his office has sparked another controversy.
The 42-second video that is doing the rounds on internet shows a woman wearing salwar kameez dancing on a raunchy number in Champion’s Roorkee residence-cum-office.
However, the controversial MLA, who is currently under suspension, claimed that this video is also four-year-old.
Champion said, “Why is my past being dug up by the media? I am a four-time MLA and have done everything for the people of my constituency. But the media is biased about me and is presenting me as a big threat to the society,” said the 53-year-old controversial legislator.
“I had won as an independent candidate from Laksar constituency and this shows how much the people love me. I am considered a true leader,” he said, a day after he sought police protection claiming threat to his life.
A supporter of Champion, who didn’t wish to be named, said, “The video is from 2016 when Champion had called a dance group from Muzaffarnagar for a small get-together for party workers in Roorkee.”
Meanwhile, protests against Champion continued on the second day with many people from his Khanpur constituency burning his effigy. Rakesh Singh Chauhan, founder of Uttarakhand Yuva Sangathan, said “Uttarakhand got statehood after a long struggle and Champion doesn’t respect that.”
