Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed a pardon for Naama Issachar, an Israeli jailed in Russia, said sources in the Kremlin on Monday.
The 26-year-old Issachar was arrested on April 9 while en route from India to Israel after 9 grams of cannabis were found in her luggage as she transited through a Moscow airport. She was sentenced for 7.5 years on drug trafficking allegations.
