Inter forward Lautaro Martinez spoke to Italian media outlet Inter TV last night following the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus.

“In the first half we didn’t do what we had prepared, we conceded a goal immediately and then we chased them. In the second half we changed something, especially our mentality.”

The 22-year-old Argentinian was frustrated by the late goal but spoke of the squad’s desire to improve.

“It’s a shame that we lost in the final minutes of the game. Now, after returning from our national teams, we’ll have to talk to see where we can do better. Today we met a great team, but we want to continue to fight and we will work hard on the pitch to improve.”

The gap between us and Juve? I repeat, we need to work together and follow what the coach says. Everyone, even those who have found less playing time, have to be ready when the coach calls on us.”
