Her father may not have anything else to say on the matter, but Stephanie McMahon-Levesque did answer a question from Sky News about WWE’s decision to go ahead with Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia despite the international uproar surrounding the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi’s Turkish consulate.

But WWE’s Chief Brand Officer might as well have repeated Vince McMahon’s line about having nothing to add to the statement in the company’s 2018 3Q financial releases announcing that the show will go on in Riyadh this Friday (Nov. 2). Because she really didn’t have much to add:

“Moving forward with Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia was an incredibly tough decision, given that heinous act. But, at the end of the day, it is a business decision and, like a lot of other American companies, we decided that we’re going to move forward with the event and deliver Crown Jewel for all of our fans in Saudi Arabia and around the world.”

If that’s not enough breaking news for you, Steph also talked to Newsweek about WWE’s Women’s Evolution and this past Sunday’s Evolution pay-per-view (PPV). And her statement there will also come as a surprise to absolutely no one who follows the company:

“In terms of the Women’s Evolution in the WWE, if it’s a success like we know it will be, this can absolutely become an annual event.

There’s so much we can do with the women in the WWE. We need to continue to grow our roster, continue to reach out to all these women who are unsung heroes all over the world. Many were able to perform in the Mae Young Classic and to show all of us what they got and they absolutely steal the show every time. We can do anything we want to do. I hope for Evolution 2, Mae Young Classic 3, women’s programming on the network, main eventing Wrestlemania, and true gender parity and equality in our roster.”

So there you have it. Again.
