The Prince of Darkness’ No More Tours 2 dates at Hollywood Bowl (originally scheduled for Thursday 11th October) and San Diego Mattress Firm Amphitheatre (originally Tuesday 9th October) have now been pushed back until 15th and 18th October respectively.

Additionally, his Mountain View Shoreline Amphitheatre gig that was originally rearranged for 16th October will now take place on 20th October. Ozzy will reconvene his No More Tours 2 trek at Las Vegas MGM Grand on Saturday (11th October).

Taking to social media last night, Ozzy shared a photo of himself with a pained expression on his face while lying on his hospital bed.

He captioned the image: “I can’t wait to get out of here tomorrow, thank you to all of the wonderful Doctors and Nurses for taking care of me.”

Revealing more about Ozzy’s condition on her daytime show The Talk on Monday, Ozzy’s wife Sharon Osbourne said the emergency developed from seemingly minor hangnails.

“(Ozzy) had a little cut on his thumb and you know when you like, pull the side of your nail? He just left it and then he hit it on a door and it started to get bigger and bigger,” Sharon explained.

Confirming the same thing happened to his middle finger, Sharon added: “On Saturday morning, we took him into the emergency room and what had happened from a tiny thing on the side of his nail, it had turned into two different infections in his hand and he had to have two operations, where they cut the side of his thumb and his (middle) finger… to get rid of the infection.

“From something which you would think is absolutely nothing, he’s still in hospital today. It’s unbelievable. He’s on antibiotic drips, two different kinds. He’s just stuck there… eating ice cream.”

Ozzy’s swansong No More Tours 2 trek hits the UK in early 2019 for six dates with special guests Judas Priest. Tickets to all dates are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.

At the time of announcing the tour, Ozzy said: "People keep asking me when I'm retiring. This will be my final world tour, but I can't say I won’t do some shows here and there.

"I've been extremely blessed to have had two successful music careers. I'm looking at this final tour as being a huge celebration for my fans and anyone who has enjoyed my music over the past five decades."
