Channel 4 could have a hit on its hands with its newest, taboo-bending comedy-drama The Bisexual.

The trailer certainly looks intriguing – but when can you see it?

Here’s what you need to know…

What time is The Bisexual on Channel 4 and how many episodes are there?

The series kicks off on Channel 4 at 10pm on Wednesday night.

It will air weekly on Channel 4 at the same time for six weeks – but if you can’t wait that long you’ll also be able to watch the full series on All4 after the first show has aired.

The series will follow Leila through her dating pursuits as she also forms an unlikely friendship with her landlord Gabe – a novelist who has struggled to follow up his one bestseller a decade earlier – along the way.

According to Channel 4 it’s a ‘raw, funny and unapologetic’ portrayal of what it’s like to be bisexual in 2018.

The show is penned by Desiree Akhavan – who directed the recent movie The Miseducation Of Cameron Post – and will ‘take a candid look at people’s approach to love and sex, and what the love and sex they’re drawn to reveals about them’.

Its creator, who is openly bisexual, has admitted that it’s a tricky topic to tackle.

‘There are worse taboos out there,’ she said, ‘but this one’s tricky because by the very nature of it being bisexual is invisible: if I’m walking down the street holding a woman’s hand I’m gay, if it’s a man’s I’m straight. That’s how a lot of people side-step the label. It has a lot of stigma to it.’
