Inter captain Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara has accepted a punditry role with Mediaset to appear on football show Tiki Taka.

“I am an independent woman, I have always worked and I do not want to depend in any way on a man, even my husband, whom I love. I am an Inter fanatic, but I will be neutral. I will improve my knowledge about the other teams, plus my friends and professionals will help me,” Wanda said in an interview with Corriere della Sera upon accepting the role.

“I absolutely do not want there to be the idea that I will be the voice of Mauro, it will not be like that. I am transparent, I always say what I think and I will do it on TV on Tiki Taka.”

In conclusion she was asked if she would criticise her husband if it came to it.

“If there is a time to comment on a race in which Mauro played badly I will do it without problems. I would not be credible if I did not.”
