Resistance changing

The resistance reading for both the builds I've put in my Aromamizer Plus 2 keeps changing.

The first build I put in was the coils from wraith, they were jumping from anywhere between 0.19 to 0.3.

The second build I used GeekVape fused claptons that read as 0.22 on the Ohm meter. Again they're changing from anywhere between 0.22-0.32.

I'm using it on a camo G-class. I don't have this problem with any other atomiser. On my Cylon the ohms stay a steady 0.23. I've cleaned the 510 on both the G-class and the atomiser. I'm not sure what's causing the resistance reading to change... Any ideas?

A little resistance change is nothing to worry about. 0.22-0.26 would be ok. Sounds like you may have loose screws. Do you tighten them again after dry burning your coils.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that - I've tightened the screws after dry burning.

What are the coils made of? I might be on completely the wrong track here, but doesn't the resistance of some metals change when it's heated?

Yeah it does (that’s how temp control works). If it’s SS coils and you fire it and then fire again before the coils have cooled it will show a higher resistance. I forgot this the other week and remembered after dismantling my RTA to figure out the issue.

They're ni80. I'm not talking a slow ramp change - they change every time I fire.

Sounds like an issue with the contact between atomiser and mod. I've had this with a few setups. Have you tried the atty on a different mod?

Check the 510 pin on the Aromamizer. It sounds like a poor connection & if the screws are tight then this or the mods 510 may be an issue. I've only ever had it on a Wismec RX2/3 due to the mods 510 sticking.

Yeah I put it on my Smoant Cylon and it stays at 0.23.

I cleaned the 510 on the G Class and the Aromamiser, it's as screwed in as I can get. Strange that it's this combination as I've seen plenty of others using it.
