Zimbabwe’s Tsuro elected Southern Africa Toastmasters CEO

Southern Africa Toastmasters a multinational company of Toastmasters International, a world leader in communication and leadership development, has elected new club officers to lead the district in 2018 – 2019.

The executive committee assumed a one-year term at the company’s annual Year End Hall of Fame & Executive Induction dinner, held on July 14 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Executive team will be led by the Executive Cabinet:

  • Chief executive Officer: Frank Tsuro
  • Learning and Development Director: Nikki Quinn
  • Club Growth Director: Merryl Jubber
  • Public Relations Manager: Andrew Tsuro
  • Administration Manager: Njabulo Thela
  • Finance Manager: Gerson KamatukaImmediate
  • Past District Director: Keith Bowen

“Anyone who wants to be a leader has to be a good communicator and Toastmasters International has a proven track record of developing people into confident communicators and leaders, says Frank Tsuro, incoming District Director for Southern Africa. “We will ensure that this benefit is also extended to areas that have traditionally been isolated. ”

The core responsibilities of each executive member are to build new branches in communities where public speaking and leadership skills are lacking as well. These men and women are presiding over an exciting change in Toastmasters International’s educational program: virtual learning, according to members. Toastmasters’ new Pathways Education system provides resource-rich programs to help members achieve both personal and professional goals.

Pathways is accessible via most electronic devices (computer, tablet, and smartphones), making it both user-friendly and convenient.Toastmasters International has a proven track record of developing people into confident communicators and leaders.

The Southern Africa Toastmasters district has 200  Toastmasters branches in nine countries and helps members become better communicators and leaders. Blue chip companies including Amazon, Bank of America, Boeing, Coca-Cola, Ford, Google and Verizon are among the industry giants that have found the Toastmasters International program effective for staff development and as an asset for the bottom line.
