A Marine volunteering at a thrift shop

Thrift shops are wonderful places, like permanent (and indoor) yard sales. Yes, as at any yard sale you’ll see plenty of clothing that was unfashionable 20 years ago (hey, now it’s retro and thus cool again), more fondue pots than you can shake a fork at, and all the best dead media. But you may also find some fabulous, gently used gems at bargain rates. And, while saving money, you’re also—more often than not—supporting a worthy cause, such as Goodwill. So zip on over to your local thrift shop today and do both yourself and a charity a favor by making a generous purchase.
