Tiger Woods' caddie paid heckler $25 to get lost

Charles Curtis

Seems like Tiger Woods picked the right guy to be his caddie.

Joe LaCava revealed to ESPN's Golic & Wingo that he actually paid a heckler at the WGC Bridgestone in Akron to go away:

"I said, 'Listen bud, why you gotta go there? Everybody's here having a good time, everyone's pulling for Tiger. If you don't like the guy, that's one thing, but you don't need to be yelling at my guy and screaming negative stuff like that.

At the end of the day, if you affect him and his performance there, it affects my bottom line.'"

After a back-and-forth, LaCava told him to just leave, to which the heckler replied that the ticket cost $25, so LaCava handed him the money. The fan didn't completely leave and sweared at the caddie. By that point, LaCava had to do his job with Woods and give him yardage, and a police officer removed the heckler.

That's why caddies like him should make the big bucks.
