SHOCKING! Man Arrested For R*ping His Own Daughter In Ondo

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Command in Ondo state says it has arrested a 45-year-old man, Adebisi Akinola, for allegedly raping his daughter for about three years.

The state Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Pedro Awili, disclosed this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, in Akure.

Awili said Akinola had been abusing his daughter sexually since she turned 15 in 2015.

He noted that when the victim could no longer cope with the series of abuse, she ran to the NSCDC for help.

“Akinola has confessed to the crime, he agreed that he has been sleeping with his daughter for three years now.

“Likewise his daughter also confirmed the ugly incident in the course of our interrogation which helped us to quickly nab the suspect,” he said.

The commandant said the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation was completed.

Awili condemned high incidents of rape involving minors in the state and warned parents, especially fathers to desist from such act which he described as barbaric, crude and a great offence against God.

Also speaking, the victim said she had earlier reported the case to her paternal aunt, but regretted that no meaningful step was taken to address the problem.

“I once told my aunt about the harassment from him, but she could not do anything about it, instead it got worse.

“I beg you to help warn him not to sleep with me again because I don’t want him to be jailed because of me,” she said.

Akinola admitted sleeping with his daughter, saying it was the handiwork of the devil.
