Johannesburg - The ANC KwaZulu-Natal's much anticipated elective conference will be addressed by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The conference is scheduled to start on Thursday until Saturday.
This is the province's second attempt at holding an elective conference.
A scheduled conference that was meant to be held in June was interdicted by the court after four regions in KZN approached the court to have it halted just hours before it was meant to start.
The branches from the three regions said the conference could not go ahead as their concerns about gate-keeping, bogus members and parallel structures had not been resolved.
The event was then turned into a consultative conference.
The province is in a rush to hold the re-run conference after the 2015 conference which saw Sihle Zikalala elected as chairperson, was found to have been held unlawful as processes were not followed.
Zikalala is favoured to take up the position of chairperson at the conference
At a briefing this week, the ANC's task team in province said it was confident that this conference would not be disrupted as all disgruntled members' issues were ironed out.
“The provincial task team (PTT) implemented the NDRC decision which relates to the complaints [and] disputes raised on the preparation on the provincial conference,” said Zikalala.
