What with Monster Hunter: World doing so well on consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Capcom has wisely decided to bring the game to PC this Summer.

To date, Monster Hunter: World has shipped over 8 million copies worldwide but as always, the real indication of success here is profit and the game has done very well on that front.

My concern was that the prior poor performance of Monster Hunter games on console meant World would sell badly. Coupled with the obviously increased production budget over the already popular handheld versions, I was worried World wouldn’t make its money back.

Well, it looks like it did and Capcom reported record profits on account of Monster Hunter: World and that is something of a relief to see.

So the fact that the game is now coming to PC is great news and I hope it does equally well.

If you are curious about the PC version of Monster Hunter: World, then Capcom has also released the PC specs for the game.
