How to look LIT this party season

The party season is all about the glow that just won’t quit. Here are some quick tips to keep it going...
GLOW THE NIGHT AWAY
If you want the morning glow to last through the day, use some ice cubes to seal it in. After cleansing your face, place ice cubes in a clean napkin and apply on your face for a few seconds at a time. This closes the pores. Tone the skin with chilled rose water using cotton wool pads.
First, wipe the skin with the soaked pads and then stroke it. On the cheeks, use outward and upward movements, ending each stroke at the temples and applying gentle pressure. On the forehead, start from the centre and go outwards on each side, again ending at the temples. For the chin, use circular movements. Use a facial scrub.
KITCHEN CURES
- Take little bit of honey, yoghurt and add few tbsp of red wine to make a paste. Apply on the face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with plain water. This softens and moisturises the skin.
- Mix cucumber and ripe papaya pulp with curd and 2 tsp oats. Lemon juice can also be added. Apply on face and neck. Wash it off after half an hour.
- Mix egg white, lemon juice and hone,y and apply like a mask. Wash after 20 minutes. Lemon and egg white reduce oiliness, honey is a natural moisturiser.

- For oily skin, mix ½ teaspoon honey with egg white and 1 tsp curd. Add fuller’s earth. Mix into a paste and apply. Rinse after 20 minutes with plenty of water.
- Cleanse face. Now, mix ½ tsp honey, 1 tsp each of rose water and dried milk powder. Mix and apply. Rinse after 20 minutes with water. For puffy eyes, apply rose water soaked eye pads. Or soak used tea bags in warm water, squeeze and apply.
BEST FACE FORWARD
For make-up to last, prep face with cold compress of rose water followed with astringent lotion for oily skin and moisturising one for normal and dry skin. Smokey eyes are perfect for a gala night. Use black eyeliner to line the upper eyes, close to the lashes, and also the lower lid. Smudge and then apply a dark shadow. Blend well. Tip: Pack in a wet tissue, compact and blusher to refresh your make-up.
CLEAN UP WELL
Cleansing is of utmost importance. There is nothing better than a warm bath to make you feel better. Bath salts, added to bath water, can remove fatigue. You can add pure olive oil to the water along with salt. Natural ingredients like honey, aloe vera, cucumber and rose water, tone, moisturise and relieve skin fatigue. Apply and wash off with water after 20 minutes. Call it a night with a cup of chamomile tea.

Cover up pimples with a foundation 1-2 shades lighter than usual using a thin pointed brush. Set with loose powder
Pout it out
To make lips look fuller, first apply foundation and set it with a touch of powder. Wait for a few minutes. Then outline the lips, a little outside normal lip line. Use the same colour lip pencil and lipstick. For a pout, apply lipstick all over, leaving out the centre. Colour in with a gloss.
