Kaduna: Blame El-Rufai’s poor performance if opposition defeats APC in 2019
Peeved by the perceived poor performance of the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has said the governor alone should be held responsible if the All Progressives Congress (APC) loses the state to the opposition in the 2019 polls.
Sani declared that the factionalisation of APC in the state and the poor performance of El-Rufai are indicators that the party may not repeat the victory it achieved in 2015, when the governor rode on the popularity of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, the senator said he remained a bona fide member of APC, stressing that he had not received any suspension letter from the national headquarters of the party as was being speculated in some quarters.
