James Charles Pleads for Privacy After Scary Encounter With Fan at His Home
YouTuber, makeup artist, and model James Charles, who came to prominence as the first male CoverGirl spokesperson is pleading with fans to respect his privacy after a fan showed up uninvited to his house in Los Angeles.
Charles took to Twitter to explain the importance of boundaries, and make clear that unannounced guests will not get the warm welcome they are hoping for when he answers the door.
Fellow YouTuber Jackie Ania, aka La Bronze James, asked how they found his address, to which he said he was unsure and once again expressed his upset.
Alissa Violet, yet another YouTuber and model, asked when Charles to move into "The Clout House," a mansion in L.A. that's home to a number of fellow influencers.
Reactions from fans were mixed, with some showing support and others reminding him that along with fortune and fame comes a loss of privacy.
People who are saying “you chose this life” are part of the problem. Taking pictures & signing palettes is obvs fine any other time. He’s meant to feel safe in the comfort of his own home, not feel like his life is possibly at risk.
Some of you guys need to chill. #YSOTP
