Former Inter assistant coach Fernando Orsi discussed Inter’s tough 2-1 win over Hellas Verona last night when talking to Italian radio station Radio Sportiva.

“From the point of view of commitment and the desire to recover, Inter have always been there, but yesterday we saw the differences between the Serie A and the Champions League.”

“Yesterday, in the second half, Verona hid in their penalty area and handed themselves over to Inter. In Dortmund, or in any case on the international stage, you find it hard not only to recover the matches but also to maintain your advantage.”

“Yesterday went well, but it’s not certain that you always manage to recover the disadvantage. Barella? He has characteristics that go well with what Conte asks for. He’s very aggressive, yesterday he pulled the rabbit out of his hat.”

“In any case, Inter won yesterday but despite the strong pressure on Verona I was not convinced. Conte? I don’t agree with what he says, the Inter management have created a wonderful team for him. He can compete with Juventus.”

“But that’s what Conte is all about, he’s also conveying his fighting spirit to the club. Each team can be improved, but the group at Conte’s disposal doesn’t seem short to me, there’s plenty of quality in midfield and even in attack.”
