In the event of being released at the end of his contract in the summer, Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian will represent an interesting option for several Italian clubs including Inter according to a report from Tuttosport.

The Italian has seen very limited action this term and managed just a single appearance across all competitions for the Red Devils, who have an option to extend his contract by a further year to the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

In the summer, he was subject to plenty of interest from Italian clubs, namely Inter, Juventus, Roma and Napoli. Juventus had him as their primary target for full back and made a €12 million offer for him but were knocked back by Jose Mourinho’s side who were looking for a figure in the region of €20 million. Despite then signing Joao Cancelo, he will still be of interest to the Bianconeri this summer.
