Sowore: This government has shown a disgraceful level of disregard for democracy and the rule of law - Falz

Nigerian rapper, Falz has called out the President Buhari led administration over what he calls 'a disgraceful level of disregard for democracy and the Rule of Law'.

Reacting to the new court ruling that remanded Omoyele Sowore in DSS custody, Falz wrote, 'this government has shown a disgraceful level of disregard for democracy and the Rule of Law'.

He went on to say, 'the Court has ordered that Sowore be released but our government of the day has refused to obey the court. This man has been detained for over 50 days, obviously without any conviction. Despicable behaviour. Very very shameful'.

Dear Sowore, know that Buhari is not kind like Jonathan and Suswam so have a safe trip to prison Aare De Oracle ( Nigerian Concord) In 2010, some powerful elements within the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, under the leadership of Bola Tinubu approached the publisher of Sahara Reporters which is being published in New York, Omoyele Sowore, in order to help them rubbish the government of the then president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan whom they referred to as a weak and minority president at that time. Tinubu personally bought a mansion worth $2m for Sowore in Boston, bought him two exotic cars, built him two Mansions in Lagos and Ondo states and as well put him on a N5m monthly salary. Apart from that, a traitor within the PDP who was then the governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi, was brought in, and he too offered to put Sowore on a N3m monthly salary just to ruin Jonathan as a result of a burning crisis between him and Patience Jonathan. When Sowore began his hatchet job, two politicians in Benue state were also approached so they could help put lies on the then governor, Gabriel Suswam, just because they saw that he was very close to Jonathan. On Suswam's issue, they uses several malicious ways from certificate forgery, womanizing, embezzlement to poll riggings but they failed in everywhere even up to the Supreme Court since he was innocent of all their accusations. Back to the moles within the PDP then, some of Jonathan's ministers and other principal aides were contacted by Tinubu to work for the downfall of their boss and they all agreed. They were offered good cash in exchange of classified federal government documents and information. All the documents and stories which Sowore published against Jonathan and his administration then were being sent to Tinubu directly by the moles in the administration just as they were being paid heavily. Jonathan being a gentle man decided to allow Sowore get away with his blackmails not knowing that all the fake reports would be believed by Nigerians who in 2015 voted him out of office. Having assisted Buhari to power in 2015, Amaechi stopped paying Sowore. Tinubu too stopped paying him,and this led him to a serious media war against Buhari in 2017. Sensing dangers in the build up to the 2019 poll, Tinubu sent Abike Dabiri, presidential aide on foreign matters, to speak with Sowore in New York, and a deal to make him a junior minister from Ondo state where he hails from was struck at their meeting. The deal was not a free one as Sowore was given a task to declare for Presidency in 2019 so that he could split Atiku's votes in some areas. He was given funds and other logistics for that assignment which he carried out very well with a hope of becoming a minister. Now that it is certain that he is not going to be made a minister, Sowore is planning a Revolution, that is to take government away from Buhari after series of blackmails but,he has met his waterloo. He forgot that it is not everyone that will be kind like Jonathan and Gabriel Suswam. Sowore, my dear friend, i wish you a safe trip to your prison room because you have stepped on the tail of a vampire (Buhari). He will crush you to the extents that you will pray for death. I am Aare De Oracle

Enjoy Your Buhari; Reno Omokri mocks SOWORE! If you say Omoyele Sowore is a liar, I will agree. He tells deliberate lies to destroy the reputation of those he‘s against, using his Sahara Reporters website. He did it to me personally and my boss, Jonathan. Ironically neither Jonathan, nor I ever contemplated his arrest. I sympathise with Sowore, but that's not my point here. I can't help but feel that his travails are self inflicted. I know his nature. He will come out of jail, read this, and use Sahara Reporters to try to savage my reputation. If you have followed the Buhari wave, you know the role Sowore and his Sahara Reporters played to create the Frankenstein monster named Buhari. What is happening between Sowore and Buhari is just a romance gone sour. Sowore is not some innocent activist that General Buhari is persecuting. He was an ally of Buhari. He sold Buhari to Nigeria. We must not rewrite history or we will repeat it. Using saharareporters, Sowore dishonestly "DEMARKETED" President Jonathan as a “DRUNKARD,” a “SLOW POKE,” “CLUELESS...” and MARKETED Buhari as “INCORRUPTIBLE.” He marketed Buhari as a man who would not only “CRUSH” Jonathan, but the "messiah" who would “SOLVE” all of Nigeria's problems. In 2014, when Jonathan said “I am the most INSULTED president in the world but when I leave office, you will all remember me for the total freedom you enjoyed”, he was referring to Sowore and saharareporters. Nigerians mistook his TOLERANCE AND ZEAL FOR HUMAN RIGHTS for WEAKNESS. Today, General Buhari is trying Sowore, his former partner in propaganda, for insulting him. If insulting a President is a crime, both Buhari and Sowore are guilty due to what they did to ex-President Jonathan. But it is NOT a crime. Sowore should be freed! Yet, Sowore is not the victim here. The victim, who refused to be a victim, is former President Jonathan, who Sowore accused of thievery, yet ALL his children schooled in Nigeria while he was President. 5 years after leaving office, no one has found GEJ wanting. It is possible that people around Jonathan made money, just as people around General Buhari are making money and people around Obasanjo and YarAdua made money. It is the sad reality of a corruption plagued country that we must all aspire to fix. But Jonathan was NOT the THIEF, DRUNKARD or WEAKLING Sowore painted him to be. He is God fearing. To fear God is weakness to men like Sowore. Then President Jonathan is MEEK. MEEKNESS is not WEAKNESS. MEEKNESS means you have POWER, but you RESTRAIN yourself from ABUSING it because you want to BUILD, not DESTROY. Moses was MEEK. Nigerians don't deserve a MEEK leader. We deserve a General Buhari! On 4 occasions, Sowore visited Nigeria while Jonathan was President. We knew his whereabouts. He met then CBN Governor, Lamido Sanusi, and was in contact with Buhari and El-rufai. But Jonathan NEVER ARRESTED him because he believed in PRESS FREEDOM. Sowore marketed Jonathan as corrupt and weak. GEJ would never make a man indicted by the army for theft, as reported by PremiumTimesng, a minister. GEJ deported South Africans in retaliation when SA deported Nigerians. It is Buhari who is WEAK

Whatever decision the DSS has taken I believe is in the interest of the country including it's citizens. It's easier to criticise these people when you're on the outside... only them know the magnitife of threat sowore poses, but then to every average Nigerian, every act done by our security forces is faulted even if in the long run it'll benefit all. We need to change our mindset people... For a moment imagine the chaos or catastrophe we would have experienced if the swore protest had gone South... Yes you think you will be safe but what about your loved ones, family and friends??

Thank you FALZ, Ruggedy Baba and everyone who wants to see a real change in a country that is ours. Thank you to everyone speaking OUT. I live in America and every day, I ask myself why "we" Nigerians are short sighted (I am doing very well here but what is "WELL" when your friends and family are far away?). There is nothing I want so much in my life than to live in my home country and keep my family and friends close. That is the beauty of life. There is nothing working in America that cannot work in Nigeria but only if we join voices and start to sweep these corrupt men and their friends out of office when they fail to fulfill their promises. To be elected into office means you are accountable to THE PEOPLE not the other way round. If only Nigerians will see and believe this. IF ONLY. Wake up people. There is no place like home. Some parents here sacrifice all they've known so their children can have a better life/future. Why can't we all have a better life together in our home country? Both children and parents without having to leave your life behind to start a new one?

For the first time in my 29 years on earth, I am so disgusted and ashamed to be Nigerian. I am a proud Nigerian everywhere even amidst all the fraud arrests and drug disgrace we constantly see online. I chose to proudly carry the flag and represent it postively everywhere I go but with this judgement on Sowore, I am ashamed to be a Nigerian. This a shame. We are no different that all those Islamic dictaroship censored nations in the middle east and Asia with voiceless citizens. Shame on Buhari and all officials who did this. May their children and children's children feel the brunt of this unfair treatment. Just wait and see

The Sun Nigeria NAVIGATE HomepageNational Tokunbo David 1 min ago Aggrieved Note Counters threaten to shut down activities at Fidelity Bank Aggrieved Note Counters threaten to shut down activities at Fidelity Bank Aggrieved Note Counters threaten to shut down activities at Fidelity Bank Romanus Ugwu, Abuja The Concerned Note Counters Association of Fidelity Bank (CNCAFB) has threatened to disrupt activities at all Fidelity Bank branches should the management of the bank fail to pay them their entitlements. Speaking with reporters in Abuja, the Association in collaboration with Global Integrity Crusade Network (GICN) complained that Note Counters are being “ill-treated” by the bank’s management. CNCAFB Welfare Officer Adepoju Josiah Olusanya noted that despite being the set of employees performing the most tedious job schedules in the bank, Note Counters are the least paid. Reacting to a public statement from Divisional Head, Brand and Communications Fidelity Bank, Charles Aigbe, Olusanya regarded as an insult the bank’s description of the aggreived Note Counters as “a few outsourced staff who were recently recalled by their employers.” The Association’s statement reads: “Granted that Note Counters were employed by Fidelity Union Securities Ltd (FUSL), they were all seconded to Fidelity Bank Plc, carried their Identity Card as well as received salaries from the said Bank. “Incidentally, the new kangaroo company named FSL Management Services Limited to sack the Note Counters for daring to speak out is also a subsidiary of Fidelity Bank Plc. This means that the terminal benefits due to core staff of the Bank should also be paid to Note Counters whether they resigned willingly or are disengaged by the Bank. “We concede based on the provisions of the old Staff Handbook that applicable rates and terms of the Bank’s gratuity scheme may change from time to time depending on management’s consideration. “However, our argument is that such change must be introduced with the consent of all employees of the Bank, including the Note Counters. Every bit of policy change so introduced into the Staff Handbook must conform to the employment laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “Being that as it may, application of the terms of the April 2015 Reviewed Staff Handbook of the Bank wherein it was stated on page 15 thereof that the gratuity scheme terminates effective December 31, 2015 should be without discrimination against any category of staffs. “The Note Counters who are either still serving or left employment of the Bank through sack or voluntary resignation should be paid their due entitlements for the sake of justice, fairness and equity. “Let it be put on record that Note Counters are not ‘contract staff’. They cannot be used, ill-treated and dumped at will by Fidelity Bank without being paid terminal benefits. “On a final note, we wish to make it clear that the wicked acts being perpetrated against Note Counters by the management of Fidelity Bank Plc are capable of jeopardising the interest of shareholders and customers. “We use this medium to warm that the fortunes of shareholders and customers may no longer be safe with Fidelity Bank. The earlier customers hurry to withdraw their money from the Bank, the better for them. Nigerians must rise up to challenge the attempt to cause terrible chaos in the banking sector, thereby sabotaging Nigerian economy. “All the aggrieved Note Counters have been mobilised to join forces with GICN and other sister Civil Society Organisations to protest in large number to the Central Bank of Nigeria as well as Fidelity Bank Plc branches nationwide within the coming week to press for justice.” « World leaders gather for funeral of France ex-president Jacques Chirac Tokunbo David: Sun News Online team writer and news editor Leave a Comment Related Post Nigeria at 59: Air Force marks Independence anniversary with church service Nigeria at 59: Air Force marks Independence anniversary with church service DSS denies arresting journalist/activist Chido Onumah DSS denies arresting journalist/activist Chido Onumah Pregnant women freed from Lagos ‘baby factories’ Pregnant women freed from Lagos ‘baby factories’ Latest News Aggrieved Note Counters threaten to shut down activities at Fidelity Bank World leaders gather for funeral of France ex-president Jacques Chirac Nigeria at 59: Air Force marks Independence anniversary with church service Ugwuanyi’s strides in health sector and good governance award Pregnant women freed from Lagos ‘baby factories’ Lessons from Thomas Cook’s collapse What manner of sports are these?
