''I am not desperate to be President'' Atiku Abubakar says

Former Vice President and Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said that he is not desperate to be President of the country. Atiku said this today while speaking with newsmen in Benin city, Edo state where he went to pay the Oba of Benin a courtesy visit.

He told reporters that if he was desperate to be the president, he would have done so in 2003.

“What do you expect my critics to say. I can run as many times as I want. I am fit and qualified and I still have ideas to put this country on the right path. What is wrong in trying again and again. I am not desperate to become President. If I were desperate, I would have taken the presidency in 2003. If I were desperate, I would not have stepped down for Abiola. I have the interest of this country.” Atiku said

Well said my future predido! Haters can hate. No one can deliver like atiku. Dude has d experience, he is wealthy and I tink he will perform.he isn't after mony cos he has more than enough. Most of d young men who want to rule are just after mony. See d useless governor of kogi state. Young and useless!😁

I just hope people can be patient enough and give this man a chance to restructure this country. I'm pretty much convinced he's bold enough to take decisions.

Liar! This man will ruin Nigeria if he ever becomes President. Atiku has 6 fully grown son's who are jobless, I0 daughters and 4 hungry wives, plus tons of friends and relatives. And all are waiting for him to become president, so that they can join him to empty Nigerias treasury...

You thirsting for Power. You all shocked how Buhari with zero chance became President and so your canvassing for same. We can hear the "if Buhari can be President so can I" in your private thoughts. This is not free for all. You and Saraki are desperate for power and in the same catrgory of power hungry. We need new and young candidates with technocratic ideas not ones who built UNIVERSITIES in foreign countries or ones that love the idea of draining banks of their assets(Societe Generale)
